Its not just girls they go after now...Christoper was a little boy that was raped..murdered while the parents of scrum watch it happen now.

Anyone convicted of raping..murder or molesting any child need to be put to death right away after convicted no more warehousing them or letting back on the street...immediate death I don't care if all they did was molest the child and let the child live...death that is the only way to put a stop to most of this now

Such cowardly bastard perps should be turned over to the child victim's father/grandfathers/uncles/bro thers, who would unhesitatingly know exactly what to do.

I am officially declaring war on all of those sick SOB's in the child-touching business! Thank God, both of my children are 10 and 15 now, and are slighly less appealing to any "would-be" perverts! What is wrong with Florida, people?!!?:(

These predators are typically identified by professional ESE teachers and diverted to get some of the oversight and interventions they need, and make no mistake, when you vote to cut funding to schools, or vote to not increase funding to schools, our resources in real time during the day to do our overwhelming jobs, is cut to ribbons, and these clowns slip through because of the fact that the system is overwhelmed and cannot function the way it was designed.
I have personally worked with some of our own homegrown future serial killers of America, there is just no time for follow up on these cats. The two boys who left our school and were never seen again, left a classroom containing a kid who had 12 of the 14 characteristics of a serial killer, and I reported it to AMW and JSO, and absolutely nothing happened.
I also wrote a referral on one Josh Phillips when he was starting to have attitude problems back at Dupont Middle school...what interventions were tried? I doubt any at all.
The school bus system is underfunded, and little 5, 6 and 7 year-olds are walking 2 miles to and from school, but by god the Jaguars have one of the finest stadiums in the world.
Jacksonville's residents have made their choices, and this is the way they want to prioritize their tax dollars---the crime problem is just a symptom of those choices. And closet-boy Charlie Crist, George and Jeb Bush with their funding cuts to at-risk and after-school programs---all made their choices clear--support the wealthy and to hell with the rest of us.

This poor little girl died because Florida's residents---people just like you--- would rather subsidize the wealthy privileged lobbied residents that give a rat's a$$ about the other 95% of Floridians...because that's the Republican way, so just get used to it....you'll probably see a lot more of this sort of thing---I just watch MY 7 year-old like a hawk, and anyone who tells me I'm "overprotective" better get outta my face, because this redneck-ville is crawling with creeps like the ones that killed this little girl, and there is probably a probation officer assigned to track the area's sex offenders, but there is just no money to pay for the position, and so the caseloads get huge, and contact becomes nil, and you see what happens.
Look out for everybody's kids and get the rich out of Florida's politics, and replace them with someone looking out for the rest of Florida's residents, and things will begin to slowly improve. Right now, we're steadily dropping by every measure. Decide what kind of society you want to live in, and don't stop until you get it, or shut up and live with what you asked for.

F*ck America’s most wanted... If you depend on that for justice then you are without a clue... You live in a fantasy world...

It should be illegal for kids walk home from school these days without an adult escort... And don't tell me it can't be done..

Are you advocating the attack of US service men and women because they swear an oath to support and defend the US Constitution and the the US Constitution provides that an a accused person be provided an attorney at taxpayer expense if they are indigent?

Well, you've just about missed your chance, they are attempting to make attacking US service persons a hate crime. But, have no fear, raping a woman or child is not a hate crime so to speak unless woman or child was part of the same household as the rapist.

You're sick in the head. What I noticed most about your post is that you want convicted people executed, not guilty people. That's a "Freudian slip" if I ever saw one.

Are you talking about the grandfathers, fathers, uncles and brothers, that stood by in negligence and let their relative get raped by a stranger?

Heck, I'm thinking they should be hung along side the molester for being guilty of reckless endangerment or negligent homicide.

actually, in my state, if your 10 and 15 year old had willing sexual contact with each other, they'd be facing something pretty stiff in the form of criminal convictions. But that's ok, because if your kids molest each other, in my state, and you keep mum about it, you go down too...then the whole family has to register on the state sex offense registry, whoo-hooooo! More molesters registered!

Scott,

You're totally wrong about John Walsh. He has not used his son's murder to become rich and famous. He has turned a tragedy into a lifelong crusade to apprehend criminals. And he has been very successful in that regard. He's a courageous man!

At the time of his son's abduction, Walsh was a hotel marketer and was working on a 26 million dollar project. He was far from poor.

I admire John Walsh, and will say that I don't know if I could be as strong as he has been considering his plight. I am thankful for people like John Walsh who choose to live and make a positive difference in spite of horrific events in their life. It is people like John Walsh who make this sick world a little better.

oh he's one of your favored Fox Repub rednecks how can you turn on him so quickly

I agree he's a tool---I was just pointing out that the system favors feeding "welfare" to the rich and leaves detective work to the profiteers---like Walsh
And it is not proactive---always REactive
Why not save kids lives and educate them FIRST and pay for football stadiums and football SECOND?

Yes! And the other irony is that the capital punishers are the right to lifers, and the racists who convict those being executed...

It's a nice little system they have...all hate and fear based though

I may not agree with John Walsh's Republican politics, but if someone killed MY son, and I had no way to displace my rage, I'd probably do what he did. It would be a horrible daily reminder, and for that he is very courageous.
