It is a nice memorial for the vets, but it is Chelmsford, so of course there is a fee.

I have a relative that serviced in the war, his name should be there, but he refused to pay the 150 bucks to have it done, you people should be giving this to the vets in honor of them fight your war!!!!!!!!no using it to make money!!!!!!!!!!

The Memorial Park is an honorable thing to do for our vets.That said,Is there an honor roll for those Chelmsford vets that gave their lives in the line of duty?

The money is used to up keep the park. Cutting the grass, mulching, planting flowers and paying for the lights.

Some of the above comments are misleading. The town does not contribute or gets any money from the Park. The Park's upkeep is by the generous donations received. The $150.00 fee is for the cost of the stone plus the name. The Park Committee members donate their time to keep the Park looking beautiful.
