Oh PLEASE, tell me we didn't do worse than what we had! The one we had did NOTHING but walk the side lines with a play folder stuffed in the back of his pants. Strange thing is OGISD just hired a new sup. who is from Sherman (born and raised there from what I hear) and this new coach is from the same area. Hum, most times the ones not worth having seem to run in packs. Oh crapola!!!

Please take Hall back, in one week the guy has single handedly desroyed any excitement the kids built up durig the summer; he is awful. Every one of our school board members should resign for hiring this guy. 7 -8 of our key returning starters are saying things like, I hate football, I wish I would snap an ankly so I did not have to play. This guy is so bad he is not even conditioning the kids during 2 a days.

Hall wasn't originally from this area. I think he has family down in your area somewhere. He was here two years and did nothing...wait, let me say that again, here two years and did NOTHING.

You guys won't like him. He got the job because his ties to the supt. there and that the school board here was tired of his act.

Have fun with the "nasty slot" offense doing nothing but getting your guys killed. We threw the ball less than 30 times all last year total.

Don't quite understand your reply. Hall will be coaching here in 2009-2010. Are you talking about Orange Grove players saying these things after just starting 2 a days on Monday?

I'll keep you posted. What do you mean by "tired of his act"?

Tired of his act in that the first year he brought in all new assistants, most of them their first coaching jobs ever that had no idea what he wanted them to run on defense, telling the linemen one thing, secondary another, just mass chaos. After the first year, they all leave, then Hall hires nearly a whole new staff again and went through the same stuff. Most disorganized program we've ever had here, and it wasn't even close.

He proudly led Bonham to their first winless season that anyone can remember his first year here. But that's easy to do when all your good athletes don't even want to play because it's so disorganized and they all said it was no longer enjoyable.

Crud, that is what I was afraid of. Your description is exactly what is taking place; everything from the good athletes not wanting to play to total disorganization.

Really? I had heard "thru the grapevine" that alot of the kids received phone calls. I just didn't know exactly what it was about. I also heard that the school board isn't who interviewed the applicants for the position. They had a "committee". From what I've heard some of these committee members don't know the first thing about football. Seems some parents were "selling" their choice to the members. Now, if all of this is true, I'm left to wonder about how things are REALLY being done. I guess time will tell. Hopefully this will lead parents who have kids in school to become involved (which alot are not). There is more to involvement than going to a friday night game wearing a tee shirt with your kids number on it!

I know two of the other coaches left with the AD. I'm anxious to see how many new ones are here. I'v heard that alot of the good players either moved or are not playing. Heck some chose to not play last year because of the nonsense with the AD. Rumor was he played his "favorites" instead of those that knew the game and could play it. I do know they have ALOT of talented athletes (especially in baseball). It's really sad that the high school doesn't have one competent baseball coach. Heck, the kids know the game and how to play it better than the one's who are being paid to teach them. O.G. baseball program - evidently the coaches get that job because of WHO they know instead of WHAT they know!

i dont belive it was the coach because simply when he moved here he was told himself that yalll were expected to get no better than 2nd to last or something and if it is the coach why did the jv go 9-0 to win district champs and freshman 8-2 non district games so its really ur opinion i think

Unless yal played for him shut up I pleyed for him and he is not a good coach at all coach davis and coach hohman and coach hagar would have all been upgrades we were beating sinton last year in the fourth quarter with a minute left and he decides to call a pass play if any of yal a thing bout football yal should know how retarded that is especially when our quarterback is bot a throwing quarterback he is a runner but hall never thought bout that the only reason he was hired is so mr moses could have someone to kiss his ass... The slot T is a joke offense if hagar was hired we would have ran the run n gun offense which is way better cuz jmike would have been quarterback and kelton would have been running back or a reciever which would have been better for him imagine trying to guard Me(Cody Gomez) kelton charles and trey at reciever that unstoppable and if you think you have four guys that could stop us put your names #9

Orange Grove needs a coach like Joe Salinas... He is a great coach has worked in Orange Grove before. He applied for AD and didnt even get an interview. Seems the color of ones skin is what will make a coach in OGISD. What will the outcome be when orange grove plays west oso??

Does anyone think that Tommy Moses may have had this "planned" when he picked the so-called committee that reccomended hiring John Hall as AD? Maybe the plan was something like this: appoint a committee of his "puppets" to choose someone he knew was a loser. Let him run the program into the ground and fulfill his 2 year contract (which all new employees get). Then they (Moses and the school board) can pretend to care about what the community wants. Then Moses can once again appoint his "puppet committee" (more than likely the same people) and get his son hired as AD. Just think about it. Troy could finish his two year contract elsewhere and Moses could get him hired on here with the rest of his family. One good thing could come out of this though. Maybe then Moses would do us all a favor and retire and there would be the possibility of having a high school principal that could actually do the job.

I'm related to coach salinas and he has done great things with his football programs, maybe he could do something great here if they would only hire him.

How many people noticed coach hall in the game against sinton when his team was losing in the 4th quarter and a majority of his staff one one side of the field still coaching the defense as they were trying to keep sinton from scoring and just at least supporting there players till the final min runs out, while dumb ass hall was about 65 yard away from the actual teams just standing there not even paying attention to the game in his gay a** pumpkin orange shirt shootin the ahit with two other coaches. I mean come on man. Show some pride in ur team and players and at least be close enough to them to show u still care or rout them on! Wat a lazy and worthless so called AD

I really hope that this coach donít try to make the White players stand up more then the Hispanic kids because the one that they have now donít care if the school get any champion ship he just want the White kids to look good as their fathers ask him to do so.. and he gets pay for that..!!!
