Full story: Connecticut Post

A noted criminal defense lawyer warned Friday not to read too much into his hiring by a city police officer whose cruiser rammed into another car early Saturday, killing two Orange teens.

Isn't there a state law that states drivers must be tested for alchohol and drugs if there is a death. Wonder if the Boys tested one of their own

Were any tests for the presence of alcohol or drugs performed on the 2 deceased teenagers before they were buried?

Yes, if you read the stories you'd know that

Sounds to me like he (the public servant) is going to need someone with a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree. I can see the city throwing him under the bus if it turns out speed was the factor in this tragic accident.
Prayers to all of the families.

Give me one reason why Jason Anderson (the cop that killed the two teens) needs a lawyer. If the cop did nothing wrong just tell the truth and be done with it. Note to jason: you did kill those kids didn't you.

I don't understand how this cop is even defendable.

He KILLED two people. No matter what he KILLED them. There is no defense for KILLING people.

They were taking A TURN! Whether they were drunk out of their minds or not they were TURNING!

Most people who are t-boned TURNING don't BOTH die. Obviously this cop was traveling at an OBSCENE speed.

Everyone seems to be jumping to conclusions based on the damage to the teenager's vehicle. The car was badly damaged so the cop must have been 'traveling at an obscene speed', right?

Alot of police cruisers are outfitted with a battering ram on their front bumper. The battering ram can punch right through the doors of a vehicle that it 't-bones' at 30 or 40mph. Was the cruiser involved in this crash outfitted with a battering ram?

Even if there was a "battering ram" how can someone on THE OTHER SIDE of the car die too?

It would make sense that the person on the impact side would die, but unless there was extreme speed or the car flipped there is no way the person on the other side should have died.

Everyone loves to blame teenagers for ANY accident. If it were adults making the turn everyone would be appalled.

I'm not blaming anyone. No one has all of the facts yet. I am simply pointing out that a police cruiser with a battering ram on it can do alot of damage. If a battering ram went through that vehicle, occupants on both sides of the would be affected.

I missed a word there. I meant to say that occupants on both sides of the vehicle would be affected.

You don't think getting hit with or crushed by a battering ram would kill someone?

On the side which the hit took place, it definetely could.

On the complete opposite side of the car with a middle console and a whole frame supporting the seating area ... no.

UNLESS it was coming at the car at far over forty miles per hour (the speed limit on the Post Road)

This "battering ram" would have to tear through an ENTIRE seat of a car AND bend the frame in order to touch the person on the other side.

Speed was a factor. End of story. Anyone with two eyes can see neither car would have been so damaged by a forty mile per hour cruise down the road.

Did you see the front of the cop car? It looked like what you see after a crash test into a brick wall at 80.

And the two in the car didn't have their seatbelts on. They contributed to their own deaths. Whoever was driving the car they were in is the cause of the accident for turning in front of the police car. Probably drunk or drugged or both.

Neither of the occupants of the car that illegally turned on front of the police car had their seat belts on. They caused their own deaths.

Dear Squish,
You should be ashamed of yourself. How does someone like you live with themselves every day. You sound like a heartless bitter person and I have to say, it doesn't sound like you're very bright either. All in all, not a person worth knowing and certainly not a person worth hearing from.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Leo

The atmosphere is highly combustible today, with people getting in a stew over the smallest little thing. You will also have a tendency to get hot under the collar, especially if someone isn't doing things as quickly as you'd like. Try to stop yourself getting in a rage because once that happens it will be difficult to cool down again. Maybe you need some fresh air?
