Ok -3 AM and its alright for 19 y/o kids to be out?

Gotta wonder where they were and what they were up to.

Where were the parents?

That is an absolute tradgedy, Milford has seen so much loss with teens in car accidents, our town has not any tears left to cry. I saw the video at www.milforddailyblog.com and was bewildered and saddened that two young people just getting started in life had it end so abruptly.

They will both be in my prayes as will be their family and friends I pray they are in a better place. My deepest condolences to all who loved them.

I'd say it's alright for two adults to be out whenever they please. Your "blame the parents" cliché doesn't make any sense.

Maybe the teenagers were traveling at the normal speed and made a left, and the officer was traveling too fast and could not avoid the collision? But it does not matter who is at fault, this another tragedy where young lives have been taken away from us.

----------thats exactly what happened the cop was driving at excessive speed the teens were making the left and couldnt calculate the distance/speed ratio you think you have time when the other car is a block away.another thing the cops dont use the (on duty) travel lights on the light bar like they should. they turn keep them off for various reasons. they need to be on!

Who are you to decide which vehicle was traveling a what speed when this accident occured? what you have continued to say has yet to be proven. Also, since when are police required to have any identifing lights turned on on their vehicles when on patrol ? such lights have NEVER been required in milford and now adays are a rare find in any town. why should a criminal be able to identify a police cruiser at 1000yds ??

The lights are there for a reason ,the lights are to be on just like identifying just like the marker plates on the state police cars (cops dont have to abide by the laws).they are to be on for saftey reasons and to let the public know that is a police officer. why shouldn't a crime victim be able to identify a officer for help?

yea lets have police officers turn their cruise lights on so people can see a police cruiser from yards away! its tough to fight crime when the bad guys can see you before you can see them!

After Spada left, cause the state police didnt like to put them on the cars (made them look silly),many cops would refuse to install them and others would say they fell off the vehical some where. a crime victem has the right to know when and where a police officer is to get help!

The cruise lights are not activated to avoid detection of criminals..leaving the cruise lights on is like putting a target on your vehicle. The cruise lights in this circumstance would have made no difference.

- I hope you are really gonna put a public apology up when YOU are proven WRONG about your accusations of the police officer speeding back to milford.. I am very familiar with this intersection and although I was not there when the accident occured I am aware of the FACT that the impact did NOT occur in the intersection, but just PRIOR to it..this car cut off the officer, it makes NO DIFFERENCE whether this was a police officer or a civilian vehicle, the same result would have happened..Mr. Beardsley, PLEASE crawl back under the rock you came from...

i disagree if the cruise light were on perhaps they would have waited for him to pass before turning left however if the cop was doing the speed limit abiding the law as was sworn to uphold , it would have not happened.
