Your 100% correct Irma !!! I also live in deltona and my neighborhood is quiet and clean with a lot of nice houses !!! You notice most of the people hater talking bad about deltona here in this forum are the ones that sell pills and damage good neighborhoods!!! I am glad most of them are moving out of here !! Deltona is a fast growing city and it only growing for the better !! Not like orlando that is going downhill !! Just turn on you local news channel and watch all the crimes in orlando yikes!!!
Chill out! your claims fall flat witout knowing wh sells drugs you are just shooting your mouth off. Who's moving. Most of the people that are gone had to go, lost their homes everyone else is trapped her becuase their homes are worthless.

Yeah Orlando is going down hill, another hot air statement.I do turn on the news and read it too and Deltona is often on it. Stop with the big shot statements you make yourself look stupid.

Hey dufus haven't you heard property values have fallen over 60% in three years. A city of worthless homes. Maybe you're nuts enough to sell now but why think the rest of us are. You love Deltona, my sympathy to you. Take off your rose colored galsses and join reality.

I've lived here in Deltona for the past 9 yrs. We have never had an issue. we live in a quiet street in which everyone works for a living. They take care of their homes, kids ,etc. Like every city in this great nation, every neighborhood has its pro's and con's. This is far from living in the ghetto as previously stated. Yes, we might have issues but what city doesn't! overall Deltona is a good place to live. not everyone that lives here are uneducated, poor, drug seller or users. unlike some of the previously comments that come off as racist & hateful comments. Deltona is a growing city and the residents must hold our city council members responsible for their actions and what occurs in our city. But as residents we must be active in city meetings and decisions. Instead of complaining, become involved. This is a beautiful city, full of potential for greatness. sending a message to pill pushers like those commenting here that Deltona is not the city for you. Get the Hell out! or just OD on your own shit! but eventually you will be out! and hopefully behind bars like you need to be. sorry, that you had a life that only allowed you the opportunities/choices to become a pill pusher. What a great accomplishment ! others that are reading these comments. dont judge a book by its cover!

the movie theatre is a one more step towards building a great Deltona. Small steps comes greater success for those to follow. stop bashing deltona if you don't live here. Yes, we are on the news when something major happens, but we are NOT a daily news story / occurance like other cities in FL. get the facts first!

I raised all my children in Deltona. They are all upstanding citizens that work and have jobs. Maybe the problem is the parents that let their children run around all hours of the night and do whatever they please. my children had jobs after school and paid for their own cars and insurance. That taught them responsibility.now they are all mid 20's and own their own homes (proud parent). It is not where you live its how you teach them to stand on thier own two feet and give them guidance.

You sound like a responsible parent. If you read the news here we are lacking them. The government has to shoulder some blame. They tell Americans put your hand out and we will fill it up for you no need to work. They give the hard earned money of the workers to those that are lazy. Generations of welfare recipients. Grandma, ma and then the kids. They don't require them to do anything for it and that teaches them no responsibility.

Deltona wasn't all that great when I was a kid growing up here (late '80s) there wasn't a whole lot for a kid to do. Probably why so many kids ended up doing stupid crap. I ended up buying a house here because that was where the best deal was at the time. Deltona is just a big subdivision with a bunch of strip malls. It has no real city center. I don't know if Deltona will ever feel like a "real" town.
