My husband and i bought a place in Foley last year.We still live in Illinois but plan on moving to Alabama to stay next year. I have cleaned for a company for the past five years. I was wondering where i should go to pursue my work.If anyone could help me i would appriciate it.Want to do some research to be prepared and know what to expect and what is available

Thank You! My huband and i love it down there. Kids are grown..so our time to enjoy.Com ing down for Thanksgiving for the week.Keep finding ourselves longing to be there and do so every chance we get.

Glad I could be of some help. I too am in the process of trying to figure out a way to permanently make my great escape to the area. Maybe we should start our own cleaning business and have people work for US!!! Then we could enjoy the Hangout, Doc's and the beach on a regular basis. I am green with envy that you will be down there in a few weeks. I was wanting to go down this week but Ida cramped my plans. Enjoy your trip and be safe.

Hi There again.We ended up staying home, Grandkids over for a few days.Who knows what we can do if we put our business minds together.I thought you lived down south.What state do you live in? Have you ben to the Nautical of lights in Dec. or Mardi Gras in Gulf Shores? May be February next time there.Hope you have a Wonderful holiday! I live in NE Alabama, about 5 hours from Gulf Shores. We moved here from the St. Louis area Oct. 1999. I haven't been to any of those events you mentioned. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your grandkids. My one son is driving down from STL right now, (close to Nashville 3 hrs to go) for a week's stay. I am sooooo excited. I am wanting to get to G/S before Christmas for a week but am playing it by ear for now. Take care.

Hi again! St.Louis is 2 1/2 hours wet of us.Kinda neat when you run into people who know yur area. Are you familiar with Unclaimed Baggage over by Scottsboro Al? Neat place.People who don't claim items from plane.. goes here and sold to the people.I would love to go South before Christmas but not in the cards..but really looking at Mardi Gras in Feb.Oh did you see the article that in May they are looking into a having a new Music Fest.3 days of Music..Im not sure all the details but i found it in the topics.Hope your son is there and well Enjoy your time with him!Adult children or not still just as precious to a mother as when they were a child.

He made it here just fine. Thanks. I have never been to the baggage place but have heard about it. 2 1/2 hours east of STL? Hmmmmm got me thinking now. We were almost neighbors. LOL. Is the music festival going to be at The Warf? I know they get some really good performers there.

The Music Festival is going to be for 3 days in mid May if it does happen.Its something new to Gulf Shores...read it in the Topix's news headlines.I will keep and eye on it and let you know if you can't find it.I wished i was able to go to Thunder on the Gulf before they canceled....ARG! Colder weather rain with snow mix..how i miss the south! You know how weather is here..we get the weather from St. Louis..were East of there on the Indiana Illinois border.Have a great day....chat later!
