And wow my ole home town is getting hit left and right with all of these accidents.

You know more and more of this is happening but this is what we wanted by trying to keep the old way and now it seems, I mean it IS getting worse. We have cops that just play like they know what they are doing and only pick on the ones not from here or family that aren't from here. WE NEED HOWARD BACK at least we had less accidents

Let's make this clear before too many things are said. Charlie Sallee was involved in a wreck a few weeks ago, but he was coming home from work and was in no way intoxicated. It is a crying shame that his nephew was killed the way he was, but hopefully his death won't be in vain. No parent should have to bury their children!! TEENAGERS AND ALCOHOL DO NOT MIX!! My thoughts and prayers are with the families right now.

The highway patrols report said nothing about alcohol being involved. Surely that is something that would have been in the report. If he pulled over 2 kids with 2 12 packs and a bottle of something, they should have been arrested, not just made to walk home.

From what I understand there was no alcohol involved, just poor judgment on speed. The kids where trying to get the young girl that got killed, home on time. They were running over a hundred miles per hour when they ran off the road, and overturned several times. My friends son was involved in the wreck, and is in ICU doing okay for now. Please keep all of these kids and their families in your prayers. These kids are all good kids, from good families, they just made a mistake.

I don't think I said any of the kids involved were drinking, friday night our cop pulled over 2 boys, if they were drink they would have been taken to jail he ticketed them made them walk home. all the kids involved in this are well known in town loved and good kids,I know from hearing the things posted today some people want to place blame well hear me out it is life bad things happen to good people all the time no one could have forseen this,or prevented it I think our cop is doing a great job for being just one person oran is a small town and making them walk was the right choice telling mom and dad where the car was must have been hard on the boys.

The Highway Patrol reports do not list whether alcohol was involved. If there is a citation, for whatever reason, it is listed otherwise with the patrol, but not in the incident summary

It is hard for the cop to do his job when the tickets he does issue get thrown out of court if they even make it that far some parents around here have enough pull that all they have to do is clear there throat and the mayor is jumping on the phone telling the cop to get rid or the tickets, at least he did take the boys alchole friday night I myself can remember when Howard did that for me several times when he could have taken me to jail, so the cop is doing a good job some of the parents just need to stay out of it and let him do it

Oh yes sometimes they will say at the bottom if citation pending (that way they can do breath/testing at the hospital.

Don't let all this stress you and your family out. everyone in town is praying for your family and hope you all will be ok I saw your son at the school monday night it broke my heart to see suck dispair in his eyes, I rember driving him home from chruch on sundays when the red bud trees were bluming and he called them purple pudding trees with a big smile on his face. Darla and Charlie you are blessed and so are your chrildren, we all suffer loss and grief but you family will grow stronger, know not everyone bashes and judges others I will be praying for your family and Devon as well as Brian and crystal and courtney well feel your familys pain.
