UnearnedIncome

This November, the election will come down to the EARNED INCOME vs. the UNEARNED INCOME.

Middle and working poor pay taxes on their EARNED INCOME. Obama wants to keep the Bush Era taxes for these people and raise the taxes on UNEARNED INCOME - those taking home more than $250K year.

Mitt R. and alot of the 1%'s pay lower taxes because of their UNEARNED INCOME. Mitt wants to lower their rate.

Like any household, the US has to pay bills and pay down debt. Whose side are you on?

It's really that simple!

It appears that the majority of the money behind Mitt R. is coming from SPECIAL INTEREST groups - corporate America.

Has Mitt R. sold his SOUL to the devil?

If Mitt R. is elected, who will run the WH?

Do you think they will put the American people's interest first?

Remember, Mitt R. said CORPORATIONS ARE PEOPLE TOO! Do you believe that?

We need to support the repeal the SuperPac law in favor of Citizens United (really should be called Corporations United). The 99% need to take back the Election Process if we are to survive. Don't sell you SOUL to the devil!

The old saying:

"It is much easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than a rich man to get to heaven."

I never quite understood this saying until now.

Can you imagine what Mitt R. had to do and to whom in order to amass billions? Now he wants to do the same as POTUS.

So many negative posts here on CP Topix go after local people who go to work each day and are able to make a comfortable living. Why would you be willing to vote for someone whose main income is "UNEARNED" and at the expense of others "EARNED" income, beneifts and retirement?
Think about it!

Mitt Romney did NOT care about the people in those companies he loaded with debt and closed (sending middle class jobs overseas); why would he care about you? They are all about getting rid of unions, but not Lobbyists, why? They want to turn everything over to FOR PROFIT with no accountability, why? PROFITS, PROFITS, PROFITS!

The majority of his campaign funds are coming from SuperPacs (1%). The majority of Obama's campaign funds are coming from the taxpayers. Look it up for yourself.

Where the Money Lives

A person who worked for Mitt Romney at the consulting firm Bain and Co. in 1977 remembers him with mixed feelings.“Mitt was … a really wonderful boss,” the former employee says.“He was nice, he was fair, he was logical, he said what he wanted … he was really encouraging.” But Bain and Co., the person recalls, pushed employees to find out secret revenue and sales data on its clients’ competitors. Romney, the person says, suggested “falsifying” who they were to get such information, by pretending to be a graduate student working on a project at Harvard.(The person, in fact, was a Harvard student, at Bain for the summer, but not working on any such projects.)“Mitt said to me something like ‘We won’t ask you to lie. I am not going to tell you to do this, but [it is] a really good way to get the information.’… I would not have had anything in my analysis if I had not pretended.

“It was a strange atmosphere. It did leave a bad taste in your mouth,” the former employee recalls.

This unsettling account suggests the young Romney—at that point only two years out of Harvard Business School—was willing to push into gray areas when it came to business. More than three decades later, as he tried to nail down the Republican nomination for president of the United States, Romney’s gray areas were again an issue when he repeatedly resisted calls to release more details of his net worth, his tax returns, and the large investments and assets held by him and his wife, Ann. Finally the other Republican candidates forced him to do so, but only highly selective disclosures were forthcoming.

Read all about it to get a clearer understanding of Mitt R.'s values.

You may get a better understanding of why he is SO secretive about his past "Unearned" compensation.

Jindal was on the abc news program this a.m.

He was talkingup Mitt Romney and his business background. My question would have been: Where are all these good jobs with benefits he created?

When the interviewer asked Jindal to explain all of Mitt's billions in secret offshore accounts (Swiss and Bermuda), e said " UH, UH, UH". What a joke. I guess this is the equivalent of Mitt's "FLIP/FLOP, FLIP/FLOP, FLIP/FLOP".

Mitt Romney, before becoming Gov. of Mass, put his fortune in his Wife's name so he DID NOT have to disclose the details. HE IS S SLIMY POLITICIAN.

When he took over the winter olympics in Utah, he went to Washington for taxpayer money - IS THAT WHAT AN ACCOMPLISHED BUSINESS MAN DOES? Can we really afford this?

Aren't you tired of the BS? Seems like Mitt is running for President as a "bucketlist" item or one up his father. If elected, Coporate America will run the WH; just like they did with Reagan! We cannot afford this!

We need affordable healthcare, Medicare and SS. Mitt Romney and his family and friends are WELL taken care of at the taxpayer's expense.

The country is in recovery mode. Just like after Katrina/Rita, we have to move slow and steady. We don't want to give the store away to people like Donald Trump and the Koch Bros, do we?

When the June jobs numbers came in, Mitt Romney blasted Obama because 80,000 new jobs hurt him in his guts.

Isn't this the same man whose claim to fame is that he created 89,000 jobs over several years?

Then we find out that these jobs were created after he left Bain.

Mitt R. is a Flip/Flopping Hypocrite!

If Bobby Jindal doesn't, he should keep his BIG MOUTH shut and go back to work in LOUISIANA! Most American people, as the interviewer said WANT TO KNOW ABOUT MITT's OFFSHORE BANK ACCOUNTS! I bet the IRS does too! The money in those accounts should be creating some GOOD paying jobs here which would increase the EARNED INCOME TAX that is badly needed to pay the country's bills and debt down!

You will be crying like a BIG BABY at the unemployment office when Mitt sends your job overseas or outsources it to a staffing service (so the 1% doesn't have to pay benefits and earned income taxes).

Anyone voting for Romney is cutting their nose to spite their face.

AMR sues retired workers over health care, life insurance benefits

DALLAS — American Airlines and its parent company are suing to stop providing health care and life insurance benefits to current retirees.

AMR Corp. and American filed the lawsuit Friday as part of their bankruptcy case in federal court in New York.

The airline wants the bankruptcy judge to rule that it can end the benefits as a way to cut costs in "sound business judgment." American says it never promised benefits to last the retirees' entire lives, and it reserved the right to change the benefits plan.

The company has about 40,000 retirees.

THIS IS WHY MEDICARE AND SS, GOV'T CONTOLLED, ARE SO IMPORTANT - IT WAS IN "FOR PROFIT' CONTROL AND NOW THE TAXPAYERS WILL HAVE TO PICK UP THE BILL FOR 40,000 RETIREES.

THIS IS WHAT MITT R.'S WORLD REPRESENTS - GREED FOR THE 1% AND TAXPAYERS CLEAN UP THE MESS!

SUPPORT A PRESIDENT WHO SUPPORTS SMALL BUSINESS AND THE AMERICAN TAXPAYER, OBAMA!!!!!

Right now, Corporate America/WallStreet runs K Street and tells Boehner, McConnel and their buddies what to do in Congress.

They want the WH and the only way to get it is to get Flip/Flop elected.(Donald Trump and the Koch Bros cannot wait!)

Why a man with billions would want to be President other than to fulfill a bucketlist item. His father released twelve years worth of tax returns and other candidates have followed that lead except for one, Mitt Romeny. What is he hiding?
I think the IRS should take a close look at his returns for the last seven years!

Hell, the people of the US don't like him. I don't think the rest of the world will either. I'm afraid he will get us into another war! Look at the countries with greedy rich heads of state, they got and are getting rid of them one by one.

Mitt R. keeps saying: "Judge him on his past business experience". It appears that his idea of "small business" is Corporate Franchises - Dominoes Pizza, Staples, Sports Authority... This is a BIG CLUE! He is telling you his business strategy. Obama has been and continues for support small business.

Plain and simple, it appears that Mitt got billions from Unearned Income from a whole lot of people working without benefits! How else do you achieve such high returns? Could you do this in the name of billions? Is this what is taught in the Mormon church?

It would be easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter heaven. Think about it.
Campaign Donations

Elton, LA

#141 Jul 8, 2012
Just look who is giving donations to Mitt Romney - Corporations through the Super Pac. What do they want in the end?

If you look at Obama, you will see that the greatest % is under $200/ea from working American taxpayers!
They want:
1. affordable healthcare
2. good jobs w/benefits
3. Medicare and SS
4. Staffed police force, good teachers and fire fighters
5. pay down debt with EARNED INCOME TAXES
6. raise taxes on UNEARNED INCOME/1% to pay down the debt because they did not create good jobs w/benefits as promised in 2010.

Again, shouldn't the candidates have to approve ALL Messages!

If you think back to the first State of the Union, you will remember Obama made a comment against the SCOTUS ruling in favor of Citizens (corporations) United - gave corporations the right to unlimited donations to SuperPacs which took the election process away from the American people. Are you in favor of this?
