Mayor of Ville Platte using public car and misuse of public dunds

How can the Mayor of Ville Platte use a city car to go to the President inauguration in Washington DC and had her aunt and uncle riding with her either to the airport in New Orleans to fly and drove to DC. Also, how the Mayor is using the public phone system to promote local business and promote books at City Hall. She is also, getting $600 a month car allowance and she drives a city car everyday.

Sounds like all the superior qualified elected few in Evangeline! Look at the Mayor of Pine Prairie! Much unfair labor practices there too! Not to mention the fraud and corruption within the S.O. The list is endless...

If she used a town vehicle to go out of state for personal reasons, that would constitute fraud...

Yeah with her aunt and husban riding with her in a public car. Number one when she uses a public car she supposed to log the mileage and she doesn't. She use that car as she wants and gets a per dem and travel checks while driving around in a public and that's a fraud, but our good old DA allows our elected officials in Evangeline parish to break the laws. Crooked as usual lol

Number two is that she appointed people to the housing Ville Platte Housing Board and never got it approve by the council and she appointed the section 8 director and never got the city council votes

I dont know about her use of the city vehicle or her method of rule but I do ride thru VP quite often and I see progress. Several new commercial sites under construction, equals employment increases and new tax revenues. I say good job madame mayor.

What progress she raise tax, the sewerage gas and water bills are high as hell. Example how can a person with $700.00 check water or gas bill is $500.00 ok . Just because she put up some lights and name a few streets after some blacks, but what about naming some after some whites. The rent at the two centers is going up. She has put people in jail, but comes election she will want these same people to vote for her.

What people seem to forget she's a polition, everything she does is either for her benefit to be re-elected or benefits someone who can help her in some way, but that being said I agree with Tbarney, she's a great mayor, new businesses are being opened as well as the city is starting to pleasing to eye, I just wish she'd fight more to be done in regards as crime, but over all job well done!

How can u all say job well done when she will break the city inwhich she did last year that's why the city council had to amended the city budget. what new business came to Ville Platte since she been mayor, a couple of restaurants and a mom and pop shop come on now. If she do what she said when she ran for Mayor maybe something about crime would get done. All she does is okay the recommendations from the chief when they hire non experience and rejects police officers

New businesses- you can't slowly blame her for that, in order for Ville platte to have more new businesses a few things need to be improved like the city needs to lower crime rate and enforce littering law. Yes it's only been a handful of businesses but any improvement is still improvement, great things have small beginnings

Officers- I don't see where hiring people with no experience is bad, VPPD needs a better FTO system. Now the reject officers, I agree with. I stated my ground when it comes to VPPD officers most of them are useless but there are some officers who have good intentions but they are unable to help because of small town politics.

Mercy Me… You have no CLUE what you’re talking about. Mayor Vidrine’s aunt and uncle NEVER saw the Mayor during the entire inauguration weekend. While I don’t agree with all of her initiatives, I don’t question her integrity. I don’t think you would like it if someone posted something about you or your family or business that was not true. Please be responsible….

It is a State Legislative LAW to amend the budget EVERY year. And yes she raised water and sewer, but that is because everything goes up and the city was losing money on this, and some people hadn't paid their bills in years, and owed amounts over $1000.00. That is theft, and they should be in jail. Natural gas is one of the most expensive things right now. Maybe those that have a $500 bill should bundle up and lower the thermostat. Almost every month, the city council reports that they are ending the month in a surplus, that means there was MORE money saved than spent. And as far as the whole innauguration allegations, she flew out of Lafayette. Do your research before you post slandering comments.
