Tips are not for waitress's but for owner

For all you ppl that eats the ham, roast beef or any other sandwich if you walked in the kitchen n see where n how it is stored all day you would never eat there again. Pauline gets there around 8:30 n preps everything for the sandwiches n salad bar. She pulls out the roast beef, ham, n the rest of the different meats for sandwichs n poboys then she slices enough what she thinks they will need for that day. After slicing the meats n cheeses she brings them to the front near the griller. The rest of the large pieces of ham, roast beef n other meats are left out in the back on the slicer until 1:30 or 2:00pm not covered with the flies flying all over the meats n the temperature being rather warm then putting it back in the cooler before the workers leave for the day n starting the same routine all over again day after day. NO workers or friends of workers NEVER eat sandwiches or poboys due to scared of getting food poison. Then all the left over food today will NEVER be thrown away. We are instructed by Darlene to put the left over food with the fresh one cooked the next day if more needs to be cooked. So 8 out of 10 times we are eating left over foods. We as the workers know what is fresh for us to eat and our friends. Sorry to inform you of this. And leaving tips are definitely Darlene the owners money. The waitress's are NOT ALLOWED TO KEEP THEIR HARD EARNED TIPS. If you are caught keeping the tips she will call you and want it back then if it happens again you are let go. What will Christian people do to make a fast buck for themselves?

Pauline doesn't work there anymore was fired in September. She told me this her self. She works at Frosty's now!!

[the restaurabt is Cafe De LaSalle in Ville Platte on LaSalle Street owned n operated by Darlene Bolfa. She confesses to be a Christian and treats her employees worse than animals. But if her church going friends go to the restaurant she calls her employees sweetie and nice names. How two face is that? She is a hypocritical person.

Darlene is not only wasting her time on Sunday but Wednesday night church and Monday nights. She is some head of a certain class she attends to make you become a better Christian. Cafe De LaSalle use to be an awesome play to dine in or take out. But with all the increase in prices if food. Any left over food will NEVER be thrown away. Customers are going to eat that food from days before. The fresh food will not be put out until the leftovers are eaten first. Whether that means fixing it to Cameron/Cooper or Union Tank phone in orders each and every day. I'm surprised no one has had food poison from these foods left out in the heat all day n put back in the coolers at 2pm. Everyday this is a set pattern. Ask Darlene if you can go check the back where they keep the leftover food, hams, roast beef and the rest if the meats to make poboys and sandwiches. She will give you the excuse her insurance will not cover you if anything would happen if you fell. She also caters for parties, weddings, or whatever needs catering. The left over food that is from the weddings, she keeps them to bring back to the restaurant then she serves it the following Mondays or other days. Think twice before you stop by. I am not upset with her but concerned for the public eating.

Food Poinsoning has happened on several occasions from Cameron Employees, and her customer call in's from there are getting Smaller!

Hopefully, those who read this can see that it is a personal vendetta against a former employer who has evidently let a few people go. I am quite sure that these former employees were aware of the tip policy when they took the job, but now have used as a means to launch a personal assault on a person and her business. I hope that any readers of this blog will have the insight to see through these childish attacks and judge the business for themselves. I would recommend contacting the health department to find the rating for the restaurants last inspection if there is a concern. As far as personality or perfection of faith, well, I think it's fair to say that none of us have mastered that. I would hate to know that someone would blast my imperfections as a person or employer on a blog.
Sad to see the extremes that we will go to in order to hurt someone these days. My hope is that as consumers we will protect our small business owners by sifting through the malicious gossip and find the facts before we allow those who are contributing to our local economy to be hurt by someone who is angry and disgruntled.

For your information, there is no vendetta here. It is only truth and facts that is being said. Another thing for your information, no one is here slandering or trying to close this small business down. It is just truth trying to protect our people from our small community to be aware if the situation and especially for them not being in contact with salmonella.
For you to learn from something you know nothing about, I do not wish this on anyone not even you. But if and when it is contaminated to others which you know, just remember of your respond about Cafe De LaSalle on topic speaking about something that you have no earthly idea what you are talking about. All you think of is former employees that has a vendetta against the owner. So far from the truth MRS. NO IT ALL.

I am not a former employee I'm just a friend of a girl who worked there. A very honest sweet girl who I believe. She told me that she was not allowed to keep her tips b Darlene told her that is how they were getting paid minimum wage. She also told me about some food being left out and I believe her. My office stopped ordering from her for this reason.

My mom used to work there but quit because she said she felt terrible for serving people left over food from the previous day and the unclean kitchen. I myself have worked there with my mother but I myself quit because I didn't wanna be apart of that business.
