If he had nothing to do with either murder, how did he know about the plastic around Lisa Pâtés face? And how did he know where Mickey was and her injuries would be stabbings and a gunshot wound to her head? How stupid can you be to believe him?

He isn't claiming he had nothing to do with either deaths. Read the report.

That statement is the news medias "summary" of his appeal. If you read the actual appeal, he says that he did shoot Mickey, but that it was in self defense. And that the Lisa Pate case should have been taken to Acadia Parish, not that he had nothing to do with them, just that the cases were mishandled.
