Again, you are off subject.
As Jindal says: "stop being the stupid party".
Most automobiles are NOT considered military and its main function is NOT to kill people. GUNS' MAIN FUNCTION IS TO KILL.
I cannot believe I had to explain that.
Yes, laws should be enforced. You have NOT come up with something new. What have you done to get rid of country club style prisons? Started/signed a petition? Why do you always think it is someone else's job?
#85 Jan 27, 2013
neither are bats and hammers locked up or required to which are well ahead of these scary guns
#86 Jan 27, 2013
we can all thank groups like the aclu that believe criminals should have more rights than their victims.its also our elected officials to represent us in our believes that's why they are there. oh and im not part of the party of stupid thanks for thinking i am, but i can see you must be a member cause you think these new gun control measures will do anything to save lives. why should i have to have my rights controlled when the government passed many of the same guns off the drug cartels and Americans have been killed with them but its the honest law abiding citizens need to be controlled. all is ok and no mention of the cartels using American guns gifted to them by our government. funny how they no longer think we should have these guns but its ok to give known terrorist groups these same guns and also tanks and fighter jets which will later be used against us.

A bat, hammers, knives... main purpose is NOT TO KILL. Most of the time, even if used as a weapon, are NOT USED IN MASS killings.
Assault weapons should be banned because their MAIN purpose is to kill in mass numbers.
Banning assault weapons will NOT stop killings, but will reduce mass killings. You will really understand this concept if you are in a mass shooting situation; ie, why so many turned in their private weapons after the Newtown killings.
Again, you are fighting for the mentally/criminally ill to own these weapons legally.
#88 Jan 27, 2013
You are off subject, but yes it is NOT a good idea to continue giving weapons to other countries who will later turned them on Americans. Please write the Repubs in Congress and let them know how you feel because this is exactly what they want to do.
They want to give weapons to the rebels in Syria and want Americans and their weapons (along side Isreal) to be used against Iran.
Ronald Reagan sent a huge amount of weapons to Afghanistan (Osama) to fight the Russians and they used against the US in the 90's.
Ronald Reagan promised no weapons for hostages (Iran/Contra), but that was what happened. His people made the trade through Isreal. Apparently they (Isreal/Iran) got along back in the 80's; how things have changed!
Again, what are you waiting for? Write your congressperson today!

Israel - sorry.

Why would the NRA be against this?
Doesn't everyone have to register their vehicles?
Even in a private sale, doesn't everyone have to transfer title?
What is really going on?
Who is stock piling?????
#91 Feb 17, 2013
Just my thoughts on the subject here.
Registering your guns that you now have, would let the powers that be know exactly what type and how many guns you have in your house. Then whenever someone decides to unarm the Citizens they will know what you own, and come get them. Right or wrong ? I don't know
#92 Feb 17, 2013
Think about this: If it gets to that time (highly doubtful), it really will NOT matter how many guns you have. The US military can take you out without taking your guns. They can do house to house searches if they desire.
Think about the police force. As the old saying goes: "you wouldn't do their job for a million dollars and they do it for alot less".
You may only have a few guns, but your neighbor, not in his/her right mind, may have a hell of alot more. You should be more fearful of this! This my friend, is the clear and present danger.
Just look at that 18 year old in Lafayette who shot in the dark and killed an innocent 15 year old and injured two others. Reported that "he was just trying to scare them". I guess he scared one to death. Sad and senseless!
Your point supports mine - who is stock piling? Just like the shooter's mother in Conn. She had all those guns for when the poor unemployed people would go after her.

That makes sense also , your damned if you do and damned if you don't .

Gov Walker was taped saying "divide and Conquer" when he went after collective bargaining rights.
Wages have NOT kept up with inflation nor worker productivity.
Gerrymandering and tampering with the American vote.
Giving businesses tax exemptions and subsidies while raising taxes on the poor and middle class.
Cutting spending to education and healthcare.
With all this going on in the Republican Party, you are worried about banning military assault weapons and universal backgrounds checks?
Who do you really think wants to take over the country?
#95 Mar 25, 2013
The head of the NRA said something to the effect: Put armed guards in schools with military style weapons.
Items to think about:
First, who will pay for them? Teachers and other personnel are being layed off now.
Second, if you would hire someone, who? The same type that accept TSA jobs because they cannot find other jobs and are willing to accept the low pay?
Third, how would you feel if the guns were used to keep the children in order along with keeping them safe? Would you want guns pointed at your kids?
Still in favor of buying military style weapons with NO universal background checks so the gun industry can continue to rake in all those billions in profits?
Do you think those execs would send their kids to Public schools with low paid armed guards well armed with military style weapons (along with the troubled teens)?
Think about it, the troubled teens would NOT have to bring guns to school, just get their hands on the ones aready there. No background checks required!

Adam Lanza, Newtown Gunman, Had An Arsenal Of Weapons, Gun Safe, Swords, Search Warrants Reveal
He had how many weapons/bullets?
How long did it take for him to discharge that many bullets?

Repubs want to clean out the voter rolls and require ID (birth certificate) to vote.
Repubs are against banning military style weapons for private use, universal background checks and against a Federal registry (where all weapons would be required to be registered in ALL sales). In other words, create accountability for gun owners.
#99 Apr 17, 2013
New slogan, "if you need to register to vote with a birth certificate, the same should go for gun sales/ownership".
#100 Apr 18, 2013
Well if it was NOT crystal clear before, it should be now.
When 90% of Americans are IN FAVOR of universal background checks and Congress sides with K Street and NRA (Profits) it is a GREAT time to clean out Congress!
Without background checks and accountability, criminals (and soon to be criminals) have an open no questions asked gun market. Great job Congress! You claim to be looking out for responsible gun owners, but this shows otherwise.

This is what's wrong with our country, my friend. Don't blame the gangbangers...oh no! That would be racist and irresponsible. Poor losers, it's not their fault! Insert "Gag", here!
There should be a law that would hold the loons that voted for this douche bag, accountable...something like, gross negligence to the American people!
