I'm with Rex on this. Simply making a statement is kinda . . .well . . . meaningless. Support it.

Luther concerns me a great deal, because he's a lobbyist. Have you been to the State House during legislative sessions? It's typically crawling with lobbyists, most of whom would sell their souls for the right amount of money.
Alabama code and the courts heavily favor corporations and the peril of individuals. Our nation is a nation of laws intended to empower the individual; not the state, not the corporation, not the special interest, not the socialist. I hope Luther surprises me, but I'm not gonna hold my breath. |

You might already be aware of this, but for the clarification of others, I must point out that being a Lobbyist isn't in and of itself a bad thing. It depends on what one is lobbying for or against. Quite the contrary, actually. Without Lobbyists, we'd be in a WORLD of problems that would make present day problems pale in comparison. Keep in mind what a "lobbyist" actually is. He or she is simply a representative of an entity. Could be a corporation. Or a group of citizens with a specific interest in what the legislators are up to. Take the NRA, for example. They are for the most part THE "gun lobby." They represent 3-4 million of us gun owners, since it would be impractical for all 2-4 million of us to show up in the halls of the Capital to voice our opinions individually. Lobbyists, for better or for worse, are necessary, and even desirable in our form of government. Unfortunately, they catch a lot of the blame for the shenanigans our elected officials are really to blame for. Lobbyist offer perks to our legislators for one reason: Because it works. And it works because the elected officials play along, and even demand it. That blame lays squarely on the shoulders of our elected officials, not the lobbyists. I'd be more interested in just what he was lobbying for, because quite frankly, it could just as easily be a feather in his cap as a reason to not like him. Being a lobbyist is NOT in and of itself a reason to not support the guy. |

Wo you make a baseless claim against Luther and when you get called out for it you come back with this crap? Sure Marshall County has people on meth as does every county in America. And you might want to talk to me a little nicer as I could be your father but who knows the line for your mother sure was long that night. |

Luther cant be as bad as Troy "I have more power than the Governor" King. If Luther screws up he will get voted out, or he should be. Troy King will be in prison soon from what I hear as he will be indicted along with a few more people in the pay for vote gambling investigation. Troy will find out the FBI doesnt play good ole boy politics. So either Troy will spill his guts and give up more people which I doubt since they were going for him in the first place or he might get lucky and plead guilty and get a reduced sentence we will se but I think there are going to be some surprises come out soon about that investigation.

I have no problem with a little 'creative insult'...but some of you guys are reverting to seventh grade generic crap. Put a little thought into it, please, and work on keeping the insults topical, Geez! This generic "yer momma wears army boots' silliness is boring.

We're just as sorry as we can be that we don't give you the minimum daily requirements of whatever you need for healthy and heart-smart adolescent emotionalism, you bedwetting putz. Take your drooping pimple-ravaged buttocks elsewhere if you don't like it. |

Well, they're ALL crooks. No exceptions. Anyone foolish enough to think he'll be an honest politician (retch) will be quickly reminded by the Mafia already in place "THIS is how we do things around here."

Ouch ... wait a minute ... that didn't hurt a bit. I guess weak people gotta get their jollies somehow.
I'd suggest trying to be less generic though. And for the record, I only have one pimple ...it's on my left buttock, since you seem fixated on that sort of thing. |
