When saying "dead" it is very important to know what lead you to conclude so, bc. if it's not indicated we assume that you're assuming it looking at the site of the crash. ps. in other cases people might have been out of the airplane on the parashute prior to the crash (which is what I was really hoping for in this case). Please take a note of this. All other posts have same problem.

So, how many people do you know that carry parachutes in a 182?????

I never thought of that one. seems like you would get more bang for your buck requiring commercial jet passengers to carry parachutes. In case of an emergency everyone clips up and starts shuffling to the door for an orderly drop. In a small plane like this cessna you can't stand up which would make it hard to get over grandma's lap to get the 'h' out plus all the screaming and plunging would be off putting.
