I was a vicitm of burglary and OPD wanted to take a report over the phone. What, they dont have enough officers to come to somone residence and take a report. I wonder if there house was broken into, what they would fell like.

O.P.D. is too busy installing video cams in the locker-room to catch burglary suspects in the dept.Who steal from each other....My guess is cops stole from you too.

I am sorry that you were a victim of burglary and then got victimized again by lack of customer service.

Many departments are very understaffed and dont have the resources to handle what they deem to be "lessor crimes". So this is usually relagated to desk jockys who in turn "shit can " the case. Nobody was killed or injured and many departments feel that they will never catch the suspect so they have a why bother no harm no foul kind of attitude.

I wish more departments would realize that MOST burglaries are NOT performed by neighborhood kids. MOST burglaries should have more man hours placed on them as they would see that MOST of these cases are done by known criminals who travel in cliques and have ties to drugs, guns, and identity theft rings.

My friend used to get harassed almost daily by a certain cop. When me and him got jumped, that same cop handled the case, and tried to force us to confess to not only trying to start a fight, but that we had waved guns and were carrying drugs on us.
I dont even own a gun, nor do I take drugs. I just stuck to my story and he tried to grill my friend, which I didnt let happen, they even tried to intimidate us, by having us in the back seat of the patrol car and took us to where we got jumped and left the back doors wide open while they talked to the guys who jumped us.

They dont care about those who commit crimes, just people they can pin crimes on who wont fight.

Apparently, they never met me or my family. We don't fold under intimidation.

Hmmm you are right about there being a lot of morons out there, usually the criminals. I myself for one is a very law abiding citizen who has no criminal record and has never been arrested. It's not a matter of paranoia it's a matter of of being prepared for the worst. To defend my home and my family lethally if necessary. Now you do have to admit there is a lot of crime here, Burglaries, Murders, Home Invasions, Aggravated Assault, Kidnapping ETC. Now you do have to admit to all this right?? But the sad part is ignorant people like you who think nothing will ever happen to you are always the ones who fall victim to crime. Crime happens every day even you have to see that if not you are the one who has to go outside and take a very good look around, maybe even turn the TV on once in a while. I do go out with my wife and kids and we do enjoy ourselves very much but one thing I do believe in is to always expect the worst.
