Your poor driving and lack of controlling your vehicle caused many of us to lose power for a long time. I would hope that you've learned your lesson because next time you may not be so lucky and walk away from your next accident or may even take the life of somebody else. Slow down people it's not only your life you may save.

The driver was in the #2 lane, driving 5 miles UNDER the speedlimit. He drifted into the shoulder then hit the pole. It's a fact that speeding was not a factor, nor was alcohol. Hard to belive I know -Guess the force of 60 mph hitting a stationary object is the same as if he was going 120 mph. I totally agree with all of you - People need to slow the hell down! I've seen so many horrific accidents up and down hwy. 62! Most of them were caused by speeders.

I was in my kitchen (I live in the Western Hills area) and my electricity went out. I knew right then and there someone hit a power pole - My power was off and on for about 15 min. However, my Mother who lives in Morongo was without power for a few hours.

To everyone who posted a comment, how many fortune tellers are there? Did you know who he was, well I do. He is my son and he was not speeding he works in 29 palms/ works more then 8hrs a day and he was driving back home to San Diego to see his family and only god knows why this happen, and we need thank God that my son is alive. He is a hardworking man and supports his family, for one to assume or comment about how fast he was driving with out knowing or being in the car them self should not assume unless you have all the facts. Just wanted to comment on the fact about the speeding, well he could not go over 60mpr due to the fact the car overheats and he would not have made it to San Diego and his life and his family is more important then him taking the risk of driving fast.

Patty,
I hope your son is on his way to a complete recovery. If you read my first comment; I was actually saying the same thing as you- He was not speeding. It was a terrible accident.
God Bless~

He supports bad driving and should use the bus lady. Help us by not letting him drive so we can live to make a living ourselves instead of making a dying.
