I have a neighbor that told me how fair this Man is. She was very satisfied and has 3 children.

I have not heard of good experiences of women going in front of him...I am sure there are some though.... have faith...keep your chin up! Praying and wishing you a good experience.... I would love for you to be able to come back and share your good experience!:)
Thank you! I will be sure and come back and tell how it went. It's going to be a long, drawn out ordeal more than likely...we don't even have a court date yet. My situation is pretty cut and dried, and the guidlines are too, so there should not be any issues, but thank you for the prayers!

That makes me feel a little better, hearing that. Besides, if I feel that a decision is unjust, I will simply file an appeal, because the issues with my case and the laws of the state are pretty cut and dried.
What else do you know about this judge? If you don't mind answering?

I just noticed over the weekend the signs for Judge Kings re-election and I'm shocked by all the negative comments about Judge King. Please don't think I'm discounting anyones remarks as not being true but we had very positive experiences with him in regards to my daughters abuse case against her husband thank goodness. Hearing all of this from everyone was very scary but thankfully he was very helpful and really listened and cared about what had happened and how to deal with visitation and the restraining order. We were truly blessed and appreciative of how everything was handled through the DA, judges and sheriff's offices of Blount County. Job well done and yes, there is justice and help out there and people who really care.

I am happy for you and your daughter! I do believe every case is different of course. Thankfully everything went well for you all. It just dissappointed me greatly that things went so horrible for myself... yes there are different sides to every story, but I truly believe it was wrong on how things turned out for me. There were too many obvious reasons why my children should not have been placed with their dad... and it took 4 months for the judge to give an answer on it too. I think that is way too long to have to think on things and not be able to remember everything. Anyways, thankfully things have gotten much better on their father's living situation and he spends more time with them now too.

I am truly happy for your situation too! God does know what is best and that is why I have been able to be comfortable and have faith that everything will turn out just fine with my children.

God bless!

I truly hate that, we still have a long road to go with this so called "dad" he gives us problems with every turn and we have spent so much on legal fees it's ridiculous. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. I pray everyday this gets better. Even though we basically won, it's still very upsetting when it seems as though he can't be upheld to do anything unless we spend thousands of dollars to go back to court.

I THOUGHT THAT A CHRISTIAN IS SOMEONE WHO ABIDES BY TRUTH AND JUSTICE NO MATTER WHO IT IS BEFORE HIM. IT SEEMS AS IF HE IS USING CHRISTIANITY AS A VOTE SUPPORT AND I KNOW FOR A FACT AS A DAUGHTER OF A METHODIST PASTOR THAT CHRISTIANITY IS NOT WHAT JUDGE KING STANDS FOR. I HAVE DEALT WITH HIM FOR 4 YEARS AND WITH ALL THE PROOF IN FRONT OF HIM WITH VIDEO MIGHT I ADD THAT TWO YOUNG GIRLS WERE IN A VERY UNSAFE AND MADE TO WATCH SEXUAL MISCONDUCT BY THEIR MOTHER AND HER BOYFRIEND AND JUDGE KING WOULD NOT VIEW IT NOR LOOK AT THE INVESTIGATION REPORTS BY BLOUNT COUNTY SHERIFFS DEPT AND YES HE PUT THEM BACK IN THE HOME WITH THEIR MOTHER AND BOYFRIEND. THE 8 YEAR OLD GIRL KNOWS MORE ABOUT SEX THAN I DO AND I AM 40. ALL OF BLOUNT COUTY NEEDS TO BE CLEANED OUT INCLUDING DHR AND ALL GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS.I HAVE DOCUMENTS FROM DHR STATING IN A LETTER THAT THAT BEHAVIOR IS OK IN FRONT OF CHILDREN (ADDING A 12 YR OLD WAS THE ONE RECORDING THIS OPENING IN FRONT OF HER MOTHER AND BOYFRIEND WHILE HER 8 YR OLD SISTER LAYED ON THE BED BESIDE THEM). JUDGE KING KNEW ALL OF THIS AND STILL PUT THE GIRLS BACK WITH THEM. ALSO, THE BOYFRIEND WAS PANTSING THE 12 YEAR OLD GIRL AND CALLED BOTH GIRLS 3 DOLLAR WHORES. AGAIN JUDGE KING KNEW ALL OF THIS.I FEEL LIKE FAVORS ARE BEING TURNED OR MONEY BEING EXCHANGED AND HUMAN RIGHTS ARE BEING REPLACED WITH GREED AND SELF SATISFACTION WITH JUDGE KING. I FEEL LIKE JUDGE STEVEN KING NEEDS TO BE RELIEVED OF HIS PLACEMENT AND DISBARRED ALONG WITH ALOT OF OTHERS AROUND BLOUNT COUNTY. WHEN YOU HAVE PROOF OF EVERYTHING AND TRUTH DOES NOT PREVAIL THEN WHAT IS A PERSON TO DO?

Judge King is an extremely fair and honest judge. He demands respect in the Courtroom and that is the way it should be. His rulings may not always be popular, but they will be based on the law. He is definitely an asset to Blount County.

I've witnessed his rulings on various cases and I beg to differ. He may base his rulings on "law" but that's after he's twisted it into what serves him best. I've seen him turn away young women seeking protection orders and showing him PROOF that they were abused. There is nothing fair and honest about that man.

I was just reading some of the comments posted about Judge Steven King from Blount County, AL. I have neither witnessed nor ever heard of any wrongdoing in Judge King's courtroom. I personally had to bring a Protection From Abuse order before him and had no problems getting his office to process the paperwork quickly, and he signed it the same day. I called before I went down there to get help, and they told me to be sure I had my police reports and any documentation of the problems I was having. I went ahead and put all of that together before I went to the courthouse. However, once I presented everything to Judge King's office, they had me to into his courtroom and he went over my request and signed it that same day. It was transferred to the county where my case was pending (Jefferson) but because I lived in Blount County, and that's where the crimes were being committed, Judge King was able to issue the PFA for me. The defendant lives in Shelby County and Judge King had him served within two or three days. I felt I was treated with much respect and protected as needed. Just wanted everyone to know I had a different experience and have a positive view of the Blount County Justice System, and my case was very complicated but they made it as easy for me as they could.

Me, my mom, and my sister went to court for indangerment of children. My dad got his visitation away for along time till this June 26 , 2013. We waited in the court room for 4 hours. My sister and I's lawyer never looked at us just held her head down. They all went into the back room for the 4 hours we sat there. Finally, Judge King called my mom and dad back there. The judge told them to shut up and listen. He told my mom that she was married and running around with 5 other men, when he signed her divorce papers not to long ago. He said her partying days were over since she was 31. he called her a s*** and a h****, and my dad did all the wroung and bad stuff. He needs to be kicked off the bench! Don't put him back in there!

Me, my mom, and my sister went to court for indangerment of children. My dad got his visitation away for Indangering and Mentally abusing us, on June 26, 2013. When we went to court Judge King, our lawyer, my dads lawyer , and my moms lawyer went back into his office. We sat there for 4 hours. Finally, they took my mom and dad back into his office.
Judge King was acting like a jerk to my mom when she didn't even did anything! He called her ugly words. He told my dad that he wasn't a bad man that he only had bad anger problems. This is all wroung!!
Why should we even say he is doing right when he isn't doing his job? I know he has 3 kids but, why is he doing this? We need to get this around to get justice for all the women and kids that are suffering from all this mess. Praying for everyone that has suffered this. <3

Yeah, I have thought of that, but it is very difficult to do that. Since it was first filed there then you usually have to keep it there. Just hope he is soon off the bench!
he can be filed on with the bar association file as nany complaints as we can this can help remove him from the bench
