What are your thoughts on Judge King or experience when dealing with him in his court room?

He is a prejudice "good ole boy" woman hater and unless you know how to "talk" to him, he has complete disregard for justice....only pleasing himself.

I say "woman hater" when I witnessed a young female stand before him petitioning for a protection from abuse order against her (ex)boyfriend. She tried 4 times to hand the judge her hospital AND police reports and he simply waved his hand at her to keep them, asked the ex-boyfriend what happened and then ordered the PFA for a mere 30 days and never gave the young woman a chance to speak or present the reports. He just took the boy's word. After witnessing this incident, I started asking around and learned that this wasn't an isolated case. He regularly treats battered women like they don't matter.

Wow... unfortunately I believe what you are saying due to my experience also. Mine wasn't an abuse matter. Mine regarded the custody of my children, and even though everything my ex said negative about me...he also admitted he done the same. My children were both under the age of 8 at the time, and my ex got primary custody even though he had a baby sitter practically raising them. From the first moment I got to speak (I was very nervous) and the judge raised his voice at me... and told me "we aren't going to have that today". All I said was my ex was fired from his job... So it was like the judge was not gonna let me state negative things, but my ex was more than welcome to have people on the stand making up lies about me. Once I lost my case...I too heard of other cases that women were not getting their child support because judge king would not issue the fathers to pay... and etc... just sucks terribly that I want to have my children with me and then let their father have weekends... I just feel in my heart it would be much better for my kids.

My heart breaks for what you are going thru. Judges like him should be kicked off the bench! How many more women are going to be ABUSED by him before it happens!

Hopefully not too long!! Thank you for your replies. I just wanted to see if others were having issues with him. You definitely answered that for me.

Curious 123, I'm sure you've already thought of this but is there anyway you can get your case moved to another county? I don't know how custody hearings work but I thought I would suggest it just in case.

Yeah, I have thought of that, but it is very difficult to do that. Since it was first filed there then you usually have to keep it there. Just hope he is soon off the bench!

What do you think Judge Steven King will do with Mark Davis? He was found guilty of sodomy.

Well, of course all facts are not stated here... would be rediculous to even try to go through every fact, but you know some people still believe in being honest about things.

Judge King is an arrogant person who should not be on the bench. He thinks he is God and everyone should bow in his presence.
He is a stange bird he has no real experience even as a lawyer.
He does raise his voice while in court he does not respect anyone other than politicians.

The people of Blount county must remove this jerk.

Truth is...all of them in the courthouse need to be removed, especially the DA. Had the opportunity to see her in court a couple months ago. She seems to be inexperienced, and a whining crybaby. By the way, my 5 year old daughter could convict perverts in a Blount County Court. When is she going to start taking on the tough cases. Bet that turns out ugly.

I think the DA's office is doing a GREAT JOB in Blount County. It is about time someone takes on the perverts in the county! I had the opportunity to see her in court and I did not see a whining crybaby. I saw a Woman that can hold her own and WIN, not for herself, but for her underage VICTIMS.

I'm just curious about the Judge King comments, I am not from Blount County, but I live here, now and will be having a case come up before him regarding child support. It makes me a little uncomfortable reading that he hates women and does not make the men pay support. I would like to know if anyone has had a different experience with him? Like a good one, haha!
Also, is he the only judge that hears these type cases, or is there another one that someone might be in front of? Thanks if anyone can answer!

I have not heard of good experiences of women going in front of him...I am sure there are some though.... have faith...keep your chin up! Praying and wishing you a good experience.... I would love for you to be able to come back and share your good experience!:)
