I'm so sick of hearing about this oil spill that should have never happened! It sickens me to watch the news about it. If the stupid enviroment nuts and tree huggers had not fought so hard until you couldn't drill on land the spill wouldn't be in the ocean 1 mile under water where they can't fix it! Where is their common sense? The unexpected happens all the time. Engineers should have known or designed a way to fix this problem if it ever did happen. You plan for the unexpected, you don't wait for something like this to happen and then figure it out!

Off subject, but I notice that our gas prices has risen higher now than it was when Bush was in office and nobody on CNN is blaming Obama like they did Bush!

yeah this oil spill is devastating. it has just moved into the pensacola area of Fl.

i remember paying near $4 a gallon during the bush yrs. it's not even close to that here in Fl.(.87 octane is average 2.59) funny how people expect an administration to fix in about 1 & half yrs what it took the previous to tear down in 8yrs

if the people who built this well were more like the "stupid" environmentalists this wouldn't be happening because a back up plan would have been in place from the start. Blame this on greed, not environmentalists.

What freaking planet have you been living on for the past 10 years? It's the conservatives that have been chanting "Drill baby drill". The reason that land isn't drilled on as much is because there's a lot more oil in the Gulf of Mexico than there is on land. If it weren't for all the off-shore oil rigs that are sub-standard because of the loopholes they bought into the laws, there wouldn't be accidents like this. Gas prices are NOT higher now than they were during the Bush regime. No one is blaming Obama because he didn't want the oil rigs to drill out there in the first place and everyone knows that. It's Sarah Palin that really supported drilling. Where is she now? Notice she hasn't been on TV lately. It's because she knows she made a huge mistake. Want proof?

Don't try to blame this on Liberals. It's the liberals who try to protect the environment, not going around shouting "Drill baby drill" looking like idi*ts.

I did not mention liberals or Sarah Palin at all! My main point is that they should have already known "how" to fix this mess in case it happened!

Gas prices are high and have been high it's not the fault of Bush or Obama. It's just that if they are going to blame one president they might as well blame the other too! Gas prices where cheaper than they had been in years at the time Obama went in. When it started going up again there was no finger pointing at him like there was with Bush.

BTW I'm not a democrat or republican! I just see things as they are and that is what I see!
