Walmart has a bunch of rude and inconciderate employees that works for them.I seen an elderly lady ask a male worker to get her something off the top shelf for her and he told her he didn`t have time to mess with her he was on break,it would have only took him 2 seconds to help her but instead she climed up on the bottom shelf and got what she asked him to get for her ,if she would have fell walmart would have been sued .

I use to work there & know the company policies on working off the clock on so I'm doubting that story. Why didn't you help her yourself like a good semaritan if it bothered you so much or go to management about it?

nan - one guy who disrespected an elderly lady is NOT a bunch!
and NAN - If you really cared you would have helped the elderly lady yourself! I'm disabled and find Many Many fellow customers AND WALMART personnel to be courteous, respectful, personable and very considerate when I shop there!

Well the reason why i didn`t help her myself is because i can`t reach the top shelf either and as far as telling the manager it wouldn`t have done any good to because i did not know the guys name and just because you used to work there dosen`t mean a thing .Either way he was rude and there is no excuse for it,on the clock or off.

"It wouldn't have done any good to because [you] did not know the guys name"????? Why would you need to know the manager's name to report the issue? All you needed to do was ask for the manager on duty.

Oh it does make a BIG DIFFERENCE. If they are on the clock they can help anyone anytime. If they are NOT ON THE CLOCK, they are just a regualr person and are not supposed to do anything work related. That is company policy and also a woekman compensation standard.

I did not know the employees name (not the managers) and our walmart could care less about their customers .Some of them are nice as can be but others are rude and hateful.

I feel sorry for the workers of walmart for all the stuff they have to put up with and all the people they have to put up with. You figure that you are standing in one spot behind a register for hours and you get hundreds of Scott Countians either all jacked up on meth, spending their first of the month checks, b*tching over price cost of every little thing even though they get hundrends of dollars of foodstamps for free. Customers are always b*tching and expecting you to do something about it even though there is nothing you can do. You people are asking who is the nicest walmart worker, really?? If you could last a week in walmart I would be surprised because there are hardly any of you Scott Co. citizens that are nice. You get rude people that love to make everybody miserable just because an employee can't say anything back to you. I have worked in walmart before and man it is stressful. I also loved the people that come in every first of the month and complain about lines being to long, sold out of the product they are looking for or just mad because their life is miserable and the only person they think they can vent to is a cashier. You know its the first of the month come on, it ain't gonna get any better for the customer or the employee. Also another problem seems to be that when you have a job you have to listen to your boss and do as they say but I know plenty of workers who are just doing their job and doing as they are told to do and customers are b*tching about it..sorry but they got to listen to their boss. I also think if you have a complaint about prices you should call the man whose name is on each and every receipt, he will know not you average 7.25 an hour worker. Give people a break! I am sorry if people come into your work and try every way to make your job impossible and to bring you down. Break the cycle and do not to it to someone else. I wish people would wake up and realize that every person is different.

You are one opinionated butthole. You're all over Topix spouting your two cents. Why don't you take your two cents and shove them up your butt. You're disabled? Are you milking the state for all that you can get?

I would have gotten it off the top shelf for her, and the i would have flying elbow dropped that old bag, would have popped her colostomy bag, and gotten old bag "boom boom" all over "nan"... then she would have licked it off, at this point i would be running out the front door, then got on the floor, everybody walk the dinosaur...

I think it's pathetic that I can't go get my car serviced in tire an lube without being hit on or looked at like a piece of meat. There r two men that work back there that r worse than the rest. One thinks he's Mr. Dreamy and the other that talks with a lisp an wears so much cologne that u would swear he fell into the bottle! Don't get me wrong flirting can be flattering but when an employee makes a customer feel uncomfortable its going too far.
