Disappointed in County

I work at Wal-Mart and am sadly disappointed at the number of teens that hang out there, and not real pleased with the parents that drop them off. I have nothing against teenagers. But honestly, they need to find some place to hang out besides Wal-Mart. They are loud, rude, destructive and some of them steal.Yes, some have been caught stealing. They misplace merchandise on purpose, they think it is funny. Yes, I have seen them do this. They steal energy drinks, make-up, snacks, etc. They run through the store like it is a play ground. Granted ALL of the teens don't. But there are enough of them that it can be a problem.

Parents! Wal-Mart is a place of business not a babysitter nor a club to drop your teens and pre-teens off for the employees to deal with. They can be very annoying and many are very disrespectful. Trust me, we have more impotant things to do than to try and work around these kids!

Just wanted to say...enough is enough! It is SAD that these kids can't find a better place to go. And it is SAD to see the parents dropping them off for hours at a time! I think the parents are as much to blame as the kids are. Shame on them for not having enough respect to at least come in with the kids, get what they need and leave.

Just some food for thought for the community to invest in a place for these kids to go. And something for the parents and kids to think about. And, yes, Wal-Mart does prosecute shop lifters..be it a coke or mascara...whatever the case may be. It is just getting out of hand. Contact the mayor and other local officials to see what we can get done for these kids.

I was up there today with my 3 year old in the toys trying to pick something out and a group of horrible looking kids gathered up using the F-word and talking awful. It was all I could do not to say something. It's unfair to the shoppers as well as the employees. I also agree that Oneida needs a place for kids to hang out. Drug and alchol free zone. Maybe someday.

TEENS = Girls & Boys

Seems to me that the Boys & Girls club, OPERATING on Contributions and TAX Funds - Should have attractions for SCOTT County boys & girls!

WALMART is one of the wealthiest AMERICAN Retailers!

WALMART should have sufficient SECURITY to protect its shoppers from rude and crude immature behavior from whatever source!

well your right kids shouldnt hang out at wal-mart. but the wal-mart employees should not be rude to all teenagers just because some dont know how to act. i have seen the employees being rude also and not just to teenagers. i have had to personaly call the main office on two to three wal-marts because they have accussed my son of stealing things that we had bought at other wal-marts. i personally will not carry reciepts around with me all the time just to prove that i bought somethng at a wal-mart. i so wished they would build a k-mart or target around somewhere. and to let everybody know that they opened a big lots back at laf and its wonderful. take some of your business their away from wal-mart.

Clearly if they're teens, they drove there. This is WHY you work at walmart, moron. No one cares about your little fit you're throwing.

I just figured they were talking about kids hanging out INSIDE walmart. No one cares about them down by the 4 lane.

I agree it is a free country and teens have rights to assemble together as long as they are not violating any laws or our rights. See we have rights to shop with out children without them being exposed to dangerous moronic behavhior or offensive language. If your walking around talking with your friends, talking browsing than have a blast. If you are destroying property, engaging In stupid games and pranks than you need to be punished.

I myself dont enjoy seeing teens throw a ball over the isles blindly and laughing. What if it hit a small infant and seriously injured them. That family nor the cops would be laughing. I dont think u would be laughing in jail nor would your parents when they hear what you did. I am all for places to go for young people and im all for just hanging in walmart with your buddies just be respectful.

Well, im not a teenager anymore.

But this has been going on for the past 3-4 years if not longer. And they were doing it then. & still today they are. & Its mostly middle schoolers & freshman. They either get droped off, or walk from the movies. And its to the point where I HATE, HATE going in wal mart. I usally go real late at night, or early in the day. To advoid all of this. And its not only the inside, Its he bottom too. You have all kinds of people sitin at the bottom, causing drama & such, then you walk inside and its no better.

I wish wal mart would put a stop to hanging out at the bottom. I mean I still go to the bottom and talk to friends, but we usally find somewhere else, due to all the drama & such.

Its sad that are so called town we only have wal mart to hang out at.

Okay listen here you idiots, in a town where the options for a teen are to ride a cow or go to town and hang out, I wonder what they'll choose. Put a godforsaken bowling alley in this town and it'll all get better. Secondly, you work at walmart. This town is full of poor, moronic rednecks whonsit on there ass formthere crappy nine to five jobnthen go home to the trailer park. So, don't we all go out and find real jobs and stopmwhining about who goes in walmart. Go back to price checking and stay off the internet, you can't afford it, you moron.

Okay...there isn't a mall here for kids to hang out or anything! Teens have always hung out around shopping centers, probably always will. I'd rather my teenager hang out at Wal Mart for a couple of hours than be out drinking and driving!

my children aren't teens and do not hang out at wal-mart, i however haven't had problems with the teens at wal-mart most seem nice and polite, but the employees who stand in the middles of the aisles and who try to run you over with carts, dollies of merchandise do aggravate me to the point of no longer shopping at wal-mart, so to all parents I say take your business to k-mart or target spend your money someplace else and see how long the wal-mart employees fussing about kids have jobs.
