So RL is on his show ranting and raving about conflict of interest with "certain people" on utility boards owning companies that get contracts for those utilities. But in his outrage why doesnt he mention that Mark Love being an aldermen of Huntsville gets the royal treatment for Brimstone Recreation. They passed an ordinance contrary to state law to promote his business. Where is your outrage Mr Gibson?

I thought I was the only one in the county that noticed... It isn't right that he can get by with that especially since Brimstone Recreational doesn't have to pay taxes.

Out of towners have more right to ride fourwheelers in this county than the residents. I don't see anyone else getting to park their vehicles and trailers all over in Huntsville and ride their fourwheelers on the road EXCEPT during one of their ride weekends.

R.L. is a puppet. he will sing and dance for a glass of ,well we all know what he likes in his glass, drunks will stick together.is it true that the Love man is alderman?that is awful,if he allows the laws to be broke when he was elected to uphold them.makes you wonder what other moral laws are being broke.is money from town taxes being used for brimstone rec? windrock atv club does such a great job , why is it when people in scott county tries to copy something thy mess it up?greed maybe, don't really care about the town or helping the economy just take the money and expect us the people to like it, wrong if they won't keep 4-wheelers off road let's call state police next time they plan a event!

Not to interject facts into this fairy tale, but I believe if you'll go back and do your research, Mr. Love took a pass on voting when the ordinance came up to allow four-wheelers on city streets. He's also passed on voting on other matters that involved Brimstone Recreation. Sorry, but there's no conflict of interest there. It isn't illegal for a man to own a business in the same town where he's an elected official.

As for Brimstone not having to pay taxes...lol, are we gonna start that again? Some people will believe anything...

No more than the one that MR Gibson is refering too with PEC. Just cause you abstain from the vote does not mean you are not influencing it. Furthermore, an abstained vote is a neutral vote and removes the possibility of one no vote on that board which in and of itself does affect the result of that vote.Ok how about newest APPOINTED aldermen Kris Llewallen taking over the 4th of July arrangements, and now HIS band South 27 are the headliners. Or does your "reality injection" only serve Mark Love?

I did not know that Kris Lewallen had taken over the 4th of July festivities, and that South 27 was going to be playing. But that should be a good thing especialy if South 27 is doing it for FREE. If the band is being paid, then I have to look at another way. This is just my opinion.

Usually the headlining band also provides the P.A. system for the entire event. And is paid. I would guess that is the case this year. Im also not saying Mr Llewallen is doing any wrong here. South 27 may very well be the best available band for the job. As long as there isnt a "lockout" type situation. You know like the one Mr Gibson alleges takes place at PEC.

No come on people you all know that Mark Love runs and owns the Town of Huntsville. The mayor lets him do what ever he wants to. Wonder who pays the water bill down where Mark rents out trailer space by the post office..not long ago it was the town of Huntsville maybe someone needs to check in on that..there is a lot of shady things going on. I could tell a few of them my self. The citizens of Huntsville need to open their eyes and ears and clean this town up. i know the next time I vote it will not be for anyone that is in office now.

Like the Dear Abby articles in newspapers, years ago, RL Gibson show should be called Dear RL. His show is nothing but a gossip tv program. Just stirs up crap never gets anything important solved. Pathetic.

When are people going to wise up and realize that 99.9% of office holders that are voted in anywhere under the sun or moon which ever is the case, they are for only what they can acquire for themselves or some other party that benefits them ( the elected offical ).
I read some of these post and I ask myself, is this for real? Posters post things such as the above, I have a question for you all, who and how many of you voted for these fine outstanding or should I say stand out candiates and then want to babble about what corruption they are doing or who they are doing!!!!
Things such as the posted comments above have been happening for many generations and will continue for many more generations, because the people who are voting for these candiates go on popularity when they cast these votes, hoping that this one will do the right thing for the community and the joke is on the voter because this candiate is already planned how he can get ahead at the voters expense, the ones that trust these indivduals.
Best way to do these elections the ones that are not fixed so you can get the best results, is do not rely on or fall prey to these candiates for how much money they have or their popularity, vote for the one that would best fill the postion for the people and the most of the time this is a write in because this person is tired of the above mentioned post and other wrong doings in their community and if you listen with ears instead of seeing with your eyes, sometime you will hear the name of a true leader instead of being fooled by what your eyes let you see.
