"He truly was surprised at what this caused, the reaction he caused."

He's going to learn that most adults are just big stupid children.

Student: I'm suing big time.....they took my freedom away from me....the freedom to carry and protect myself!".....besides in Wisconsin I was born with a hunting rifle in my arms and have been hunting since I can remember.....what is the uproar?

He's about to learn a very tough lesson. He should also be banned from any gun sport till he's 21. Aside of that I don't think he committed a crime for which adult certification is warranted.

Is "gee, I didn't know it was wrong, whatcha all mad about" really his defense? Just how completely oblivious is this dumb kid?! Or just how dumb does he believe the local authorities are?(Or maybe he CAN pull one over on the local authorities with such a defense!)

They say what you hate the most (LIBERALS) as you posted even though this is not about politics........when you croak and come back you will become one.

So enjoy this life because in the after life you will be hated by idiots like yourself.

And also what is it with all the anger & vulgor towards "liberals"? Take a deep breath and live a little buddy!

Total overreaction by the school district. Guns are a part of life, they need to learn that.

Was it an "uproar" or more of an outcry? Was anyone disgruntled? Or merely gruntled?

Good thing the school's police liaison officer was "Johnny on the spot"! "He truly was surprised at what this caused, the reaction he caused." I am shocked too! So if I hit someone with a hammer, my kid is no longer able to bring a hammer to school? Liberals get their panties in such a twist nowadays.

After what happened at Marinette recently, yours is a moronic statement. It's amazing just how stupid and clueless kids can be. This kid likely didn't mean to hurt anyone with the gun but what the heck was he thinking? He obviously was not (thinking).

Who cares what "he was thinking", your statement is just as moronic. It's amazing just how stupid and clueless adults can be.

Why don't you tell us what we're missing here. I also think that bringing a gun and ammunition to school is a very stupid idea. My kids were in high school when Columbine happened. Getting into the school building back then was like getting through airport security these days, with metal detectors and only transparent book bags allowed, etc. Would you like to see that kind of enforcement in your school to be sure no one brings another 9mm and ammo to class, or would you like to trust that none of your classmates is packing?

Better yet, please tell me why you think it's okay to bring firearms to school.

Send these illegal blood suckers back to their own country along with their violent culture! Sick of having to pay tax's to support them and they breed like rabbits! Close the border!

My high school friends and I brought 22's to school -- late 1960's -- even had them on the school bus as I lived in the sticks. What kind of a world are we showing our youth that they need to go through a metal detector to get into High school? So it is one kid with a gun-- criisakes, how many smokers will die tonight because of lung cancer? Now, how many boxes of Pampers do you need for the week? Do I need to stop by and change them for you to?

I believe we've misunderstood each other's posts. I read you as a student yourself, not realizing that you were speaking from a 50-years-ago experience. In no way am I saying that I want our kids to have to go through a metal detector in school; I'm actually agreeing with you that it's a sad world for them but it's the stark reality that they have to think about violence in the schools. There are a few things we didn't think about in the 60's that we know better about now. Back then it was alright to drive without a seatbelt or even a carseat for toddlers, we didn't think cigarettes could kill you, and we let our kids bring their BB guns and skinning knives to school for show & tell. We're smarter now than we were then and parents are more keen on child safety than ever before, wouldn't you agree?

And please, you needn't lower yourself to the level of your last two sentences. Let's keep it civil.
