I have two TVs with Guide Plus IPG and a DVR with TV Guide IPG. Both Guide Plus and TV Guide IPGs are run by a company call Gemstar-TV Guide and receive their channel line-ups the same in our area, piggy-backed on the PBS channel signal.
All three IPGs stopped receving their listings a couple of days ago.
Charter Communications says they are not doing anything to block transmission of the channel lineup, but I am skeptical.
I am wondering if anyone else in Onalaska, who has Charter cable and TVs/DVRs that use Guide Plus or TV Guide IPGs, are having problems receiving there channels listings. Anyone?
The Problem with RCA Guide Plus is not the TV. It is the cable company. Check to see if you have a cable box on any other tv in the house. Chances are that you do, and everytime they do a download or upgrade to receive a new channel it throws the guide plus out of whack. I found this out with my main tv having a cable box and when I watch tv in my bedroom (no box- just cable) it usually is fine, until the upgrade or whatever. Memorize your channel line-up and compare.
