Steve Mapes is not a "Ham Operator". An elderly woman needed a desk and other light furniture hauled away since her husband just passed away a week earlier. Being that the woman was very poor, she told Steve Mapes she could only pay him to haul the things away in exchange for the recently passed man's "Ham Radio Gear". A kenwood TS-450, A vintage CW key, a tuner and some other gear. No microphone. This Ham Operator was a CW only man.(he only did morse code).

When Steve Mapes was at the old woman's house hauling the stuff away, he noticed there were many papers in the desk. The old woman forgot to clean out her husband's desk. In the desk was the man's Ham License, Passport, Driver's License, Social Security Card, Birth Certificate and other crucial papers.
