I live just down the road and never knew this was in my area. I learned about it reading the Gazette and intend to visit next weekend. I truly hope the Humane Society does all it can to hold on to this property and keep it from being developed. I will bring this up to the Friends of the Wheaton Dog Park to see if they might be interested in helping.
The Humane Society needs to publicize this more - a prominent sign from Georgia Ave. should be on their list of rehab needs and the County should have signs pointing out this unique and special place from the road. |

That is a shame if the pet cemetery is closed. It has been there since I can remember, 1958. Is a landmark.
