They just don't come and take you to jail with a $100,000 dollar bond without evidence. Obviously they have something substantial on him.

You people act like he is the victim here and not the child or children this has happened to. What is wrong with you people? Are your brains not working today??

This is exactly why this kind of child abuse gets swept under the rug. No one has the guts to stand up for the innocent

The true idiot here is you. I have no clue if he's guilty or innocent. But when you are charged with a crime as serious as he has, his bail wasn't set that high. His bail was set for the minimum of this type of charge. There's someone in that same jail who's bond is set at 750,000. that carries a lot lesser charge. So get YOUR facts straight before posting, thanks.*The Truth*

And yes they do just take you to jail when they have a statement from a minor. It's the mans job to prove innocence. Soooo all you guys need to watch what you say it maybe you falsely accused next.

A statement is all it takes. But most people go on the first thing they hear. They never think that the person might not have done it.

Sooo if you KNOW what happened then WHAT HAPPENED?!?! Because it seems like you are just basing your comments off of just the charge itself and Matt being in jail. So if you "know" something then say what you "know" or are you too scared that you will be making false accusations?

To the people who say his bail was set to the minimum- you are wrong. The Kentucky Revised Statute does not set a minimum bail amount for this charge. In KY bail is established using several factors including seriousness of crime, threat to community, risk of fleeing, and ability to meet such bail. Bail is set at the discretion of the judge while looking at the whole picture. The whole point of bail is to be high enough to convince the defendant to report to future court appearances but not to set it so high that it violates federal laws protecting citizens against unreasonable amounts. Two people could be charged with the same crime and have the same evidence against them and their bail amounts be entirely different due to financial resources. This is a serious accusation however the law still provides the option Ror or unsecured release from custody. Please stop misleading people. To others, please keep in mind defendants must be proven guilty and save your opinions until after a verdict is reached. Our judicial system has been designed to judge fairly... yes it is flawed but it is much more accurate than ignorant redneck opinion. If you would like to speak your opinion, that is your entitlement. BUT please, know your facts first, as if you do you are more likely to be taken seriously.... and before you ask "i didnt pass the bar but i know a little bit" enough that you wont frivolously talk dumb $h!t.

You know I totally agree with your statement. But for Mr. Laynes charge his bail was not set that high, all I was stating. There's a man in the same jail who's facing drug charges and his bail is set 7 X's his amount. Too make myself clear again, I don't know if this man is guilty or innocent, especially without seeing all the evidence. But in our judicial system it's supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, it seems we have strayed away from what our fathers and grandfathers based this country on. Innocent until proven otherwise, and might I add guilt must be proven without a shadow of doubt. And to "True Is", I don't try and shut anyone up, I respect everyone's opinion. But I will not listen to opinions who establish guilt and try to change another's perspective on someone being guilty or innocent when they don't know or have all the facts or evidence at their disposal, thank you.*The Truth*

Oh I could give you the scoop, but I'm going to just let you continue making an ass of yourself proclaiming his innocence.

Haha! I never once "proclaimed" his innocence therefore I'm not making an ass out of myself. I am actually finding it quite funny that I'm getting under your skin. But I never once said he was innocent or guilty. Learn to read.
