Walker's is good Another good one was James' Drive In. If you walked in just planning on a cup of coffee or a Coke, the smell of those huge burgers made you order food. Dixie Grill didn't even come close to Walker's or James'. Phillip Burton was a good cook , but the atmosphere was kind of stuck up. The owners ex-wife worked there and always looked hateful. You can't do that and expect people to come back.

I love what they did to the back of the place looks nice , to bad some of the rest of the places in town don't do the same. It would look a lot nicer. They look so nasty like they are , but they don't care how we look to out of towners, and looks bad on us who live here too.
I like there food too....5 stars *****

The Dixie Grill had those great fried green tomatoes. Their Dixie breakfasts were out of this world. I didn't notice the Baker man's ex wife lookin' hateful but I didn't even know who she was but I didn't see nobody hateful looking.

It's good to see that when an old favorite is under scrutiny, the faithful regulars will step up to the plate, so to speak.

let me explain something. i was going to post nice things until i seen dixie grill come into the picture. first of all, when those people were hired, do you think that they were not told what their wages would be? another thing, waitresses aren't typically paid full scale. usually it is 2 something an hour plus tips...next, that business was not meant to put anywhere out of business. it was just supposed to be a nice, clean restaurant, and that is exactly what it was. the uniforms were very nice. had a professional touch to it.
oh, and walkers is a great place to eat...as long as you don't mind people smoking over top of your food while they are cooking it and racist servers.

I "seen" the dixie grill - twice - from inside - couldn't breathe from the smoke that filled the dining area. Can't imagine why they didn't make it...

Walker's is da bomb - so get over it.

Since Walkers have fixed the side of their building, they are more into beautification and what this town is all about. Keep up the good work Walkers!
