I was just on there Facebook page. Seen nothing of any troubles but did see they charge $15 dollars with an 8 fish limit.

Sorry, but me and my group of pay lakers don't go to lakes with limits.....

We'll continue to go to places like Lakewood and Sky lake where fishing talent isn't discriminated against.

the one starting trouble is with Ryan Christopher Rayburn and the owners of the pay lake

Seems like every time someone tries to do something locally, the Rayburn's try to tell them why they can't. If this was their land, why hasn't it already been surveyed and they have a deed in hand? If they did this for all their "properties", then there would never be any dispute.

Definitely agree. You can't put a business in this town without catching hell from the Rayburn's

For everyone that is wondering we had our property surveyed when we bought the property. Mr Rayburn was there when they put the survey stakes up he knows exactly where his line is an we know where our's is, an we are doing everything legally. The local game warden told us to put ribbons up on the lines and that's what we did. I went to Frankfort and got my business license for the lake. I have spent 12 years making this place as nice as is is. Everyone has always wanted to fish here but no one was ever allowed. I am only opening it so that our community will have something to do. This is one business that Mr. Rayburn will not stop. This lake is not crowded we own about 80% of the land around the lake and there is another smaller lake up above the big one everyone can fish all the way around it. This lake is almost 100 years old and it is known to have fish as big as a person in it and possibly state record bass. The cost is $15 for 12 hours 2 poles and 8 fish limit. I am giving away a really nice rod and reel once a month and will be putting lots of big tag fish in. $15 gets you in on everything.

I guess everyone's talking about the 'Sand Plank Pay Lake." I don't fish but I was curious about the name. I've lived in this area most of my life and I thought it was "Sand Plant Pond" because years ago there was a sand plant there. Does anyone know for sure?

It is sand plant pond. I used to fish it years ago. The biggest fish I ever caught was 28 inch large mouth bass, it weighed 8 1/2 pounds. the funny thing is there are bass in there big enough too eat that one. But that was 25 years ago. When is it going to be open, I'll be there. The state record was in there then, hell it have the North America record now lol. Who is the owner? The little pond above it, is where I caught small blue gill for bait. I saw a big turtle in the small pond as big around as a truck wheel. I wish the owner all the luck with their business success, they sure have a nice place.

Good luck with your new business venture. My family fished there years ago. I can't wait to come fishing. Hope everyone welcomes your new business to the area. We need places where people can go for good clean fun. Best wishes!

I'm pretty sure it's 24/7 every day every night.

$15 to fish for like 10-12 hours give or take an hr or two

And it's a limit of 8 fish per person.....
