I have noticed for about the past month there is a meduim size reddish brown dog (possibly pit bull mix) on a chain in front of a trailer on three pine road. It has been slowly wasting away, day after day on that chain it has gotten continually gotten skinnier. I have NEVER seen food anywhere near that dog and today when I left the house I looked over and it was skeletal laying on the ground, and when I came back through two hours later it was in the same spot... I hope and pray it isn't dead! You can see every single bone in it's body and I seen that one day it could hardly stand up...I don't know what to do or who to call! If the person cannot afford to feed the dog there are shelters, pounds, ect...or let it free off the chain to find it's own food if you don't wish to care for it!
There is a forest ranger truck in front of the trailer, however I doubt that one lives there because should they not care about animals more than that???????(They often take care of wildlife.) I'm truly horrified and fearing for it's life!
Why dont you simply stop and ask the condition of the dog?

Or. Call the dog catcher.. explain to him and he can help with this. His name is Sherman Sparks

Look in the phone book under carter co. dog warden..

Actually I am emailing the shelter. I asked if anyone else could do something in the meantime to please do so. You make me sick because you cannot spell or type sweetie!

Honestly I thought about doing this a few times, but on that particular road it has become a really rough place and I don't need any confrontation. I am unsure if anyone is even there because I have never seen their vehicle move and I have never seen anyone out and about. It may have just been abandoned. Thanks for the help!

You live in Carter co. Not Rowan co..

Call the dog warden in the County you live in..

Call the county attorney ! I am sure that would be the one needs contacted . I feel confident that office can point you with who needs be contacted with in the County the Dog is in.

I live in Rowan County but I am in the area alot.. Thanks, hopefully some solution is found for this animal. If he is dead today I would probably be glad as well because he is no longer suffering. Could you imagine starving to death? How slow and painful.

If I'm not mistaken you call the State police, by law they have to go..city or co. isn't going to or do not HAVE do anything.I have actually walked up to a house and TOOK their dog.Still have her 8 yrs. later. Also have 8 others.Go talk to the people and ask do they need some food and straw for their dog?You have some extra,or CALL his job if it has to do with animals..I know the main wildlife manager for this region and also HSUS leader.Get me a house # address..Do Not call Sherman, they die......

I am assuming he is a forest (wildlife?) ranger as that is the only vehicle that is ever parked there. I will get the address from his mail box tommarow as I am going past it, I really appreciate the help; you have no idea! It's really good to know someone with connections!

Haha, dog theivery would be near impossible as this person has neighbors that share a yard... thanks alot for the suggestion though! It is a beautiful little dog.

The dog has a dog house however the strange thing is rain, snow, or shine it lays outside in the elements. It is either really sick and just doesn't care about life anymore, I have no idea.

I would also get his Kentucky Official Plate Number off of the vehicle so he is further linked to this when people are notified.

Once again this is CARTER COUNTY not ROWAN ..If its that big of deal and you are so worried..STOP AND ASK WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE DOG?
Sounds to me like the more I read this possibly you are mad at the RANGER (wildlife) and maybe slandering this person..
If I knew who he or she was do you not think that I would have already posted it? Read my other comments where it says that I don't even know if that person lives there! It is not slander to say that they may not be able to afford to feed their animal and I would like to get some help, please go cash your welfare check and buy yourself a book sweetheart. I worry about the welfare of animals. If you are going to be rude and nasty please get off of this post troll. Thanks. Others ar eattempting to get help. That is the only reaction you are getting out of me so post all the mindless jittering that you want!

If you want slander read the 1000000,00000 other posts about people on drugs, beating their kids, cheating, ect. I am a person who actually cares about this community the people and animals alike. I don't care if Jesus Christ himself lived in that home, if their is a starving dog I will make it a point to help.

Does anyone else find it extremely sad you cannot do anything nice for anyone or anything in this town without their being some kind of malicious motive? Shows what this world is coming too honestly.

Do you care to shoot me an email if you can at [email protected] So I can provide you with information (if you wish) and so I can get the appropriate numbers from you. Thanks alot! I don't wish to do all of this over Topix. I am going to delete this thread today or tommarow because it isn't about the person but THE DOG and I have all the necessary information.

This post doesn't need to sit around and collect trolls if you know what I mean!
