I know who I wouldn't recommend. I was a patient at Olean Family Health Center (Dr. Sheikh) for 2 years. They diagnosed my chronic pain as Fibromyalgia & put me on a plethora of medications that I later learned should NOT be used in conjunction with one another. After I began to express concern, I made conversation with other patients and former patients who had been misdiagnosed without proper extensive testing, and had been put on the same cocktail of drugs I had been given - Soma, blood pressure medication, hydrocodone, Cymbalta, Wellbutrin. Most of us sought second opinions in the Buffalo area and have finally been successfully treated for our symptoms. It is worth the long drive for better quality treatment.
You can't fully blame the doctor (your employee). As a patient (the boss), you should always check your medications. You can ask your doctor or pharmicist why you are taking them, possible side effects, etc. Most prescriptions come with a handy pamphlet or you can research them online for possibly dangerous combinations. Speaking of the internet, you could also research your diagnosis. If you believe you were misdiagnosed, ask for more tests or get a second opinion. Decide how you want to manage your condition and discuss it with your doctor. If they are unwilling to work with you, get a new one. Educate and empower yourself.

I don't believe a word of this. If it is indeed true, you are an idiot for just going along with it for so long.
