I don't know about any of you, but alligator stew would have been the evening meal for the next couple of weeks!

Just remember to soak the tail in buttermilk for 24 hours first. Then use the rest of gloves or a nice belt.

I guess I have never had it prepared properly...it sort of tasted like a rubber band with a fishy aftertaste, and it was tough. What should it taste like if it's cooked well?

It tastes a lot like American Buffalo, or Grizzly Bear. No wait, panda or... well, any endangered species.

I am sorry. I couldn't help it. It has a chicken breast texture, but really a flavor all its own.
