What some idiots. A few too many Zani Bars or Roofies along with that hooch. Give your child away, go down to the beach and wash down about 50 pills each with a fifth of Jack. High tide will wash you out to sea and we will never hear about you fools again.

someone needs to step in and help this family. not everyone has the intelligence to handle certain situations. where is the compassion?

Does anyone else find it strange that the "The guard banged on the car's window for 30 to 45 minutes?"
This is certainly a horrible story and the child needs a better life. I am not discounting that part, but I can't imagine standing there banging on a car window for 30 to 45 minutes without doing something else. At the time I might have thought one of the parents had a heart attack, medical reaction, or something. I wouldn't have waiting 45 minutes to get them out.

Where's the compassion? Toward who? Seems like every post has the child's best interest at heart.

Not everyone has the intelligence to handle what situation? These fools drank themselves into oblivion despite having a young child AND an infant at the hospital.

Poor judgment on the part of the adults here. They obviously aren't fit parents. Why on earth they wanted to bring kids into this world is beyond me.

I hope the family members keep these babies away from these parents. It is apparent that they were under the influence of zanex, oxy's, etc. mixed with alcohol. Deadly combo.
I'm shocked at the mother and I'm still trying to understand the fact that she just gave birth to a baby a week ago and was out partying. How sick is our society becoming. Parents don't even give a damn about the most precious gifts we could receive....LIFE!

What a great way to celebrate your week old child's ailment. Get drunk and endanger your two year old's life. I hope these "parents" are ashamed of themselves and learn a very valuable lesson. And I hope this little toddler doesn't have any long term damage.

OH PLEASE! give us all a break. a typical Lib. the poor, poor mommie & daddy. it's society that got them this way. OH BOO HOO HOO! let's have some personal responsibility here. we can only assume at one point they were sober. so they made the decision to drink, etc. THEY MADE THE DECISION, NOT SOCIETY!

I wonder how the 1st baby got into intensive care? I'm sure this mother treated her body like a temple while she was pregnant. Theses parents do not have the capacity to care for a critically ill child, or a healthy one for that matter. However I'm sure our socialist service system, I mean our social service system will reunify this family to preserve the biological bond that was created, as to perpetuate the abuse until a child is killed, or maimed.

The fire department have to be with the police department, in order for them to do it. Even if there is trouble.

What an arrogant comment to make. Are you one of the "haves" or "have nots"? You are part of society, and it is YOUR thinking that is causing people to "not make it in life." Because you think you are more important than your fellow Americans, and because you think you are above helping others, you are causing the brotherhood and togetherness this country used to have to disappear, and are replacing it with pure, seething hate.

Why is it whenever some stuck up, holier-than-thou Conservative Republican reads about someone asking for compassion and sensitivity towards their fellow man, they always resort to petty name calling? I am so sick of hearing "bleeding hearts" and all the other names there are for us Liberals out there. Is it so wrong to STOP, THINK, and then ACT? Is it so wrong to wait for evidence, to consider the accused innocent until proven guilty? Is it so wrong to consider that we are all human and do make mistakes? Is it so wrong to care about other people? I can guarantee no Liberal here thinks what happened to the child is acceptable, but that doesn't mean we're going to stoop to the Republicans level and demand their head on plate without letting justice run its course.

Personal responsibility - YES.
Public lynching - NO.

I could think of something much worse to call Republicans than "bleeding hearts."

oviedo FD has helped me out with no cop involved. anyway - call a cop and the FD... whatever it takes, they could have responded in minutes... a hysterical kid and two unconscious adults! if that doesn't warrant an emergency call, i don't know what does!

why are have nots have nots? because they get faced in the car to the point of unconsciousness with their two year old kid crying hysterically! i would say that they have nots in this story are the 2 year old and the baby in intensive care. they have not a parent who cares.

i don't care what your troubles are, there are plenty of people who have come from nothing to be very successful. they did it by accepting responsibility for what they become - not blaming others and then getting faced!
