East Lyme, Lyme-Old Lyme schools address parents' security concerns
#1 Dec 20, 2012
My husband was let into two schools in other towns this week, by someone who buzzed him in. He had never been there before, but he was not given a second look. There is a huge false sense of security with these type of systems in place. My son went to school in Old Lyme and two of the boys that bullied him are now in prison, one for attempted murder. It was crystal clear how disturbed these boys were, and I was terrified what they would do. We had many heated meetings with the administration that fell on deaf ears. There is a whole new staff now and I hope their eyes are open a lot wider than the previous adults in charge. Old Lyme is NO different than any other town, our children are at the same risk.

Old Lyme has 1/2 a draw bridge, foamers love to watch trains on it. When I drive by in my MOWgnomemobile, I toot at them with my horn. Toot Toot Toot.
