Four kids in stolen SUV die when it hits train

“I can see my daughter's big toe sticking out from underneath the white blanket; that's all I can see of her is her big toe.”

If you're gonna be stupid, you'd better be tough. Here is a prime example of lack of proper supervision, and lack of values and morals. I'll bet the parents of the driver are SO PROUD! Good riddance ~ the community can now breathe a collective sigh of relief. Can you just imagine how many cars WON'T be stolen now?(And probably how many burglaries and robberies there won't be, either?)

PARENTS, DEMAND BETTER FROM YOUR CHILDREN, LEST THEY BECOME A BURDEN ON SOCIETY, A DISGRACE TO YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY LINEAGE, AND DEAD.

I am sad. One of the girl who was killed was a friend of mine. Also, a best friend to many others. We will miss them all dearly. May they rest in peace.

my sister lives next door to the one who stole the SUV. She tells me how the mother lets them smoke pot and does it with them including other drugs as well. She lets her kids do whatever they wish. I have repeatedly tried to make them understand this is wrong.. Maybe now mother will listen....

i am very sad that this happened, and they will be in my prayers.
for the people that previously posted except for katherine, there is no need in complaining about the parents caution with their children. it is done now and i think they have learned enough of a lesson.
may the kids rest in peace.
give them some slack

what is wrong with parents? Blame the train area for not having lights but do not question why their 11,and 12 yr.old is out at 4am??? The driver's mother allows pot smoking, drug use, and they do as they wish. The reason they didn't see train i am sure is they were stoned. I have 2 small kids of my own and wonder what the hell parents are doing or should i say not doing. If driver does recover the rest of his life he needs to be reminded what consequences are and mother should be held resposible too as she is very aware of drug use and condones it. This i know from horses mouth. Parents, listen up!!Grow up, raise kids with decency and respect and morals. A terrible tragedy could have been avoided. Don't blame Union train. BLAME THE PARENTS!!!!!!!!!

Actully that night her dad had a talk about the summer rules with her, and she objected. She snuck out and hit the train about 1/4 of a mile from her house.

Mary.As a person who knows of this family personally no,should not let it be. Letting it be is what has caused this tragedy to occur. My prayers to the entire bunch and hope that things finally change and some people come out of their delusions. What has happened to faimilies today? God help us all.

Macy Loral Colette & Austin were amazing people i loved them :/ its really hard to think that one minute you can be talking to someone and the next minute there gone. they have alot of people that love and care for them. as for the too boys in the hospital, bobby and blake, my prayers are with them. hopefully they will get through this accident and live. hopefully this teaches kidds to not sneak out and drive under age.. and to just be careful. my heart is with you all and they will all forever be in my thoughts. i pray for theere familys. and for there freinds to be strong. God bless <3

Uhmm.. you have got to be kidding me.
for 1. there is no need for sarcasism.
for 2. i bet you dont even no these people that died or there family. were kidds. we do things wrong. thats how we learn thats how we make OTHERS learn as well.
this has nuthing to do with the parents.
i means seriously. show some curtisy. the parents probably already feel like crap.. why make it worse.
they just lost there child. i mean what would you do?
would you want someone telling you that it was all your fault that your child is dead? i dont think you would..
so show a little desensy and give them prayers. not complants... okay im done. i love all these kids. it hurts to lose them :[

those who are asking for slack?? Do you know them? There are a few things they omitted. It is time for parents to be held responsible. Everyday in my own front yard i witness parental irresponsibilty. I was raised with "old fashoioned" values and instill in my own now. The survivors where allowed to use pot per parents as well as other drugs. Give them slack? What if my family were coming home and hit us instead of that train or your family? Then would you let it be? I am angry, furious. Those of us who try to raise our children right have become fewer and far between. if you have to sleep right next to them whatever it takes parents need to step up and decide to be parents, not friends. Have more than one talk have a billion and more. Those who condemn my thoughts I know where of I speak. I know the drivers and passengers parents. They would rather smoe drugs with them than talk or parent.

Let this be a lesson to all of us parents. Talking is not enough. It certainly wasn't as far as my mother was concerned when i was young. I showed my 2 young ones this story. Parents i beg all who reads to use this and learn that we need to be more involved and strict with our babies. One talk about "summer rules" is not enough. If they hate you for it you're probably doing your job. Please don't blame a train. Look inside ourselves and see where the truth lies. Parents stand up and fight for your children's innocence and lives. No one else will. It is our job to produce decent citizens and protect our communities. Pray hard everyday for our kids. Teachers are disgusted with uninvolved parents. Learn from this and do all within your rights as parents to drive home the issues. God bless the young ones who didn;t have enough guidance to make a better decision. God bless those babies. The driver does need to pay consequences, already is. This was not just a little sneak out. They stole a car with very young kids and i assure you that driver's parent knew he was "out".
