MONSTER who killed the ones who loved him most! thats all there is to say about this soory excuse for a human being! He took the lives of 3 innocent people who loved him unconditionally. 2 parents who would have given the world to their children if they could and a 15 year old boy who had his whole life in fromt of him! Matt Cushing should rot in prison and I truly hope everyday he relives what he did to his family. He waited for them and took thier lives for NO reason other then he is a MONSTER.....

I completley understand how people can think that Matt is a monster for what he did and I would think the same thing if I did not no him. Please understand that the person who did this was not Matt on that day. He is a vary loving and kind person and he loved his family especially his little brother. It makes no sense and we will probally never no why but PLEASE no that he is not a monster and I no this for a fact.

Thank you for this posting! I totally agree with you. I can see how they would think Matt was a monster. If I herd of a story like this, of a random person doing this, I would think the same thing. But when it hits close to home you have a different outlook on things. It wasnt "Matt" that did this and there is no doubt in my mind that we will NEVER know why he did this. But atleast respect him for Matt and not the person who did this. "Take a friend out to eat every once in awhile...you never know what they might just say."

OH Poor Matt! Respect him for murdering his own family? That's straight thinking.

no, I am sorry but it takes a monster to kill three people and plan it.
so what if you new him. he was obviously keeping that evil side of him hidden. Not only did he kill three lovely people ( josh of which I went to school with) cold hearted but he devastated the whole town of old orchard beach. I personally hope that he rots in hell, for there are no excuses or his actions.

I also agree with the two who dont say matts a monster! I as well knew him an went to high school with him. an when i heard about it an they said it was matthew cushing i couldnt believe what i was hearing... like saco resident said ofcourse id be calling someone who i didnt know that did this a monster but i did know matt an if you did you would have never seenb this! As none of us did! That wasnt matt that day!! But no matter what happens now, it wont bring those 3 innocent people back. an matt will be in jail for the rest of his life. But one thing hes not is a monster! Like saco resident said as well takes your friends out to lunch you never know what they might wanna say!

I knew Matt in high school, he seemed like good kid. BUT...regardless of what I thought what then, the kid deserves the death penalty, hands down. To those who write about him and ask for people to give him respect, please...give me a break, just because it "hit close to home" for some people who knew him, doesn't mean he shouldnÂ’t get what he deserves. And don't say that "it wasn't Matt that day that killed his family." Bullshit...of course it was him, who else was it? Sure, maybe some drugs had a play into the whole act...but regardless, it was Matt Cushing that takes took those lives. You look at any drunk driver who kills someone in an accident...you mean to tell me that "it wasn't them"? Yea, I agree that he was a good kid and one-point...but he changed and turned around and committed a serious crime that deserves death. Yes he's a monster, he's lucky he's just facing life.

Mathew is my cousin and it would be much appreciated if everyone would let us, his family deal with this and not read very uneducated opinions

Just watched the episode featuring Matthew on "Mind of a Murderer". I am curious if family and friends have the same opinions now after seeing this as l would assume they didn't realize he had thought of killing everyone of his family members and friends at one point? And that he would definitely have killed again by his omission. Very sad for anyone that knew him and thought of him as so normal as it seems he was born this way. Something is seriously off and likely not "curable" with him.

Hi! I also watched Matts episode of Mind of a Murderer and it made me wanna write him and just figure out what the hell happened, why did no one see the warning signs. He was nice and very respectable. He said he had had those impulses and thoughts since he was a kid. I too believe that it's not curable just wish someone would have sensed something and helped before this tradegy had to happen..
