Thank you for this - I'm evacuated in Chicago right now - and very active in the blogging community. We are all staying in touch and keeping tabs on each other. My family lives up here so they are my New Orleans family.

If a person has to depend on what their friends are doing to make a decision when a strong category 2, potential category 3 hurricane is likely to hit their home. A home which is located in low lying area, likely to be flooded and a place in which the entire government echelon, the local, state and federal authorities are telling citizens to leave. If this is you, then you are just stupid. There is no other word for it. You are incredibly over the top, thank goodness breathing is an involuntary process because if you had to accomplish this on your own, you would have died decades ago stupid.

.I think that McCain and the Republican Party is doing the right thing by hiding behind Hurricane Gustav on the first day of the day to respond to the Dems. Can you hear it, one is talking. Just think of it, that storm blew President Bush right off the Republican convention speaking agenda. Now if McCain and Sarah Palin can hide from the rest of the party for 60 days, I believe they would have it make.

I didn't NEED twitter to help make my desicion to evacuate. In the end, we did evacuate. For the safety of my daughter. My home in Old Jefferson is NOT in a low lying part of town. You know not of what or whom you speak. And for the record, my home sustained ZERO damage, had ZERO flooding and would have been perfectly safe had we stayed.

I hope for your sake that you never need any help in a situation like this because I'm pretty certain that you don't have any friends. It's really dis-heartening to see that ppl like you even exist on this earth.

Daily Horoscope for December 15

Gemini

You're viewing the world from a wonderfully optimistic perspective today, which makes you feel good. However, it's important that you keep your feet on the ground and don't allow yourself to be carried away by wishful thinking or unrealistic expectations. These will lead you in the wrong direction and you'll be bitterly disappointed when reality intrudes on your lovely dreams.
