I too was an Arrowsmith patient,no complaints and I regret seeing his business disappear.
However, it appears the above Wang emails appear to be self serving and not helpful in assisting Arrowsmith patients in locating their records. Nashville is blessed with many good Lasik and Cataract surgeons. Best of luck.

If anyone is still looking for Arrowsmith he is now working at the vision center at the local Wal-Mart in Ashland City, TN. All I can say is Wal-Mart must be desperate to hire someone like him. Took my money and screwed up my eyes. Still trying to get my vision straightened out.

Not fly by night - they were in business at that location for over 30 years.
and chronic dry eye can happen to anyone. I now have it - 15 years after Arrowsmith - and my granddaughter has it, never had any eye issues. Beware of restasis - I read that good eyes drops used 3-4 times a day were just as effective - and I got a terrible reaction to Restasis which caused my eyes to develop a milky discharge and I was unable to drive for several days - after using Restasis for 2 months.

I started this forum in 2011 when I found out three things:
- The Arrowsmith eye institute had tried to draft my bank account again, a year after surgery.
- No one was answering the phone when I called to confirm my follow up appointment.
- I went to the Arrowsmith eye institute and found they were gone!
Yes, dry Eye can happen to anyone.
I asked the Arrowsmith surgical staff about dry eye and was told, if you do not have dry eye prior to surgery, you will more than likely not have it after surgery.
I have severe chronic dry eye.
I have tried Restasis, and it did not seem to help very much.
During the wintertime I go through a box of Refresh Optive a week!
The "salve" ointment Dr. Arrowsmith suggested was a joke. He said to take it to work and put it in my eye a few times throughout the day.
There was one point after surgery I thought I was going to lose my vision.
I COULD NOT SEE!! I thought I was going blind.
After sitting in his chair for 6 hours, Dr. Arrowsmith suggested I might have a hereditary disease. I didn't.
He then suggested to go home, for 2 months, and not use any drops with a preservative.
I finally regained most of my vision.
My surgery was years ago.
Severe chronic dry eye is scary; It causes your vision to double, your vision gets blurry, and it hurts.
I was having second thoughts before surgery, and if the Arrowsmith surgical staff would have been honest, and said there was a 50% chance I would've had severe chronic dry eye, I would've canceled my surgery.
I would estimate I have spent far more on drops, than I ever did on the lasik surgery itself.
My husband had surgery a few years before mine and did wonderful. He must wear reading glasses.
I tell anyone who considers lasik, if you have perfect vision with glasses or contacts, do not get lasik.
