Truth Detector wrote: <quoted text> Cuts of $88 billion this year is about 2 percent of our $3.5 trillion federal budget, or about nine days of federal spending. Even after the sequester, we will still spend about $15 billion more this year than we did in last year. The sequester does not actually “cut” spending — it simply slows its growth. Are you arguing those points? I am simply telling you what has been reported in every Link that I have posted and that is...that there will be furloughs of Numerous Civilian Defense Contract Workers, down to 4 days a week, and Lay-offs of some (I don't remember the numbers, but it was a lot), and Military Service Members will have cuts in their wages and benefits. Also, the money for Military Supplies and Weapons will be cut. And this is just part of the things mentioned and it is NOT ALL in the distant future, some of it is immediate, but they Articles did say that it would take the Pentagon a few months to rearrange their priorities, as to where the cuts would do the least damage. There will be more Articles, I'm sure, so I advise you to read them this time, when I post them! My concern is that when we're still chasing Al Qaeda around the World and we still have Troops in harm's way and we are still techniquely at War in a World as unsettled at the Middle East is, at this time, we're cutting all the Depts. that it is their job to protect and the Tropps who are risking their Lives on a daily basis , to do just that...and possibly taking away the equipment they they have to have to do that and to protect them as much as possible. Now, if that doesn't bother you, and obviously, it doesn't seem to, then you don't deserve the sacrifice THEY are making FOR YOU! I just wish that the rest of us didn't have to suffer the consequences of your Ungrateful Attitude and Cold-Heartedness.

SSS wrote: Let me tell you People something...off and own for years, I worked in Retail. During that entire time, EVERYTHING was marked up 10%...that was the standard Mark-up that every Company used, 10%! Then, after the "Trickle-Down" Theory of Economics was adopted for this Country, during the Reagan Administration, that Percentage Mark-up started going up and it has not stopped until this day. If any of you have access, in your jobs , to see the mark-ups on your Invoices or Bills of Ladens, I know that you will agree that the percentages of Mark-up will boggle the mind! I've heard of as much as 500% from those who do have access to such information. THAT is Unreasonable, to say the least, but understandable, when you consider how many millions of dollars these numerous Upper Mgmt. Employees are making annually, at most of these Bigger Companies....and THEY ARE NOT WORTH IT! I've been in retail for 30 years. I've grown from one store to several, from 3 employees to 130. I probably know approximately 100 other retailers well enough to know how they price their goods. I can tell you with 100% confidence in what I am saying that anyone these days marking up their goods over 10% of what their costs are is going to go out of business. People now shop on the internet and have many tools with which to compare price. A retailers only defense against this is by reducing costs. In retail, there are hardly any upper management people making millions. Most are paid less than their sales people. What you are saying couldn't be more opposite from the truth. Just look at how many retailers are going out of business for the proof. Also, coming from someone who actually has a B.A. in Economics, trickle down theory affects the demand side of economics, not the supply side. You couldn't be more incorrect with this statement also. Reagan wasn't the only president with this philosophy. Clinton and Kennedy had the exact same philosophy, because it worked. I agreed in the past to not personally throw insults at you. I am not doing this now. But I am correcting some blatant errors in what you are saying. You are nowhere close to reality with some of these statements.

Last time I checked, President Barack Obama signed the Budget Control Act that created this sequester. So what's all this Teapublican talk about? Our President had the power to stop this before it started.

Overtaxed wrote: "Hey", I read today that the Supreme Court has taken up a seed patent case originally brought by Monsanto against an older Indiana farmer regarding Roundup-ready soybean seed. This one should be interesting since it will test the idea that the patent does not reach the second generation owner. This stems from this farmer buying soybeans from the elevator where they had been delivered by another farmer who had grown Roundup-ready beans. He used the beans for seed and was sued by Monsanto as a result. Should be interesting. What do you have to do to sell as organic.Wouldn't that give you a lot more money. I read some where that one acre of gensing was worth like $20 some thousand??? According to the FDA, GMO crops are considered by them to be "substancially equivalent" to regular crops.Which means they are stateing they are the same so therefore are safe. So if one gets a patent it has to be something that basically never existed before. So I'm thinking if it's got to be the same to get it passed with out the big testing then how do we get the patent if it has to be what you've created that did not exist before? How do you get it both ways?Without the patent it's not a big money maker.

I just did alittle minor Research online, and it seems that new Confirmed Oil Deposits that can, or cannot, be gotten to, are being discovered, practically on a monthly basis. The categories of Oil and their accessibilty are astounding, in Countries throughout the World. But, in one Source that clearly listed the Countries in order, throughout the World, with the largest "Confirmed" Oil Deposits, as of a couple of years ago, did list Iran right above Iraq, with Libya much farther down the List. So, it appears that since the Iraq War, all the information has changed about what Countries have the largest Oil Deposits, even the Middle Eastern Countries...with 2 stated Facts that have not changed and all ot eh sources seem to agree on. Those are that, Saudia Arabia is the Number One Country with the biggest Oil Deposits...and that the Middle Eastern Countries are the "Mother-Lode" Countries for Oil Deposits on the World, as far as is known at this time. So, I was wrong and the poster I was responding was also wrong about Libya. And this information that I just posted , will probably also be wrong, a month or so from now, if the information changes like it appears to have so frequently in the not so distant Past. kinda makes me wonder if False Information is being published to manipulate the Public's opinions about all things concerning Oil Deposits.

The Article said the Small Farmer had always done this, to save money on buying Seed because seed was so expensive. And this time, he just happened to get the Monsanto Round-up Ready Seed that was spilled during the process and Monsanto is suing him because of it. Talk about Greedy, Heartless, controlling Companies, Monsanto is definitely one...of many nowadays, unfortunately!

Propaganda has worked for years. We only get to hear what the Government, big oil, and other corporations want us to hear and believe. Old political sidestep trick, but it works 75% of the time. The rest of us know better because we actually research.

Where did you get the instructions for the solar panels? Do you think you could take on the US solar top spot also?

Don't you think it absurd if not outright criminal for these banksters to have the money printed up at the cost to printing ,like a few cents for a $20 bill a $100 bill, don't matter, and then loan it to our government at full face value plus interest and the people are the ones who have to pay it back. Doing away with this bogus practice would get us out of this mess. The Government can print money (they are constitutionally suppose to do this not banksters like we were warned about doing or we would get screwed)Well we are screwed)and put the peiole back to work on infastructure. This seems to be the big one alon with China's trade deficit. We'd be home free.
