I asked, where in the Glennbrook area? Glennbrook Way rd. In what area?
Yes Indeed

I'm not understanding how citizens in Sumner County fail to see the obvious. For example: Come to the Gallatin side of the county only a short distance from Hendersonville, and you will find a shiny new Popeye's Restaurant. There is also a Title/Cash Loan business that will open soon in front of Wal-Mart. Such businessed do nothing for the local economy except ruin property values; the county should prepare for the inevitable; low income housing should not be a surprise in Hendersonville.

We have enough crime here without more apartments. We will need more REAL police (NOT TICKET WRITERS), schools and roads widened to handle traffic problems. Hendersonville is going to have Big problems if we keep growing and not preparing for the growth ahead of time.

Well, sorry there Dhead. I'm new to the area. It would have been nice if in one of your two posts to me, you just answered my question.

These new apartments near Glenbrook, along with the apartments at Streets of Indian Lake, are not to be low income. It's a rare occasion when a new complex is built to be low income. If a complex is low income it is usually to save an older complex from being demolished. Get your facts straight before you begin to spout stupidity.

this means that when the new apartments are built, the older apartments will be mostly low income or the same as projects. These older apartments will bring more crime to the area because of the people that do not work usually live off of the government and are useless. The majority are drug users and sellers or mexicans that get drunk and drive with no license or insurance putting us all at risk.

Again not true. Just because a new complex is built does not mean an older complex will be turned into trash. The city is growing at a high rate. Regardless of income level there has to be property for people to live. Assuming that all new residents of Hendersonville are low income overflow from surrounding areas makes you a bad observer of your community. If only you people would think before you speak.

Funny the police in the past wrote a ton of tickets but now all they do is call in location checks and sit around

I completely agree! It seems like they are just "city security". Maybe we can get them some flashlights and whistles....

Hendersonville is the Madison from the 70s when it was a good place. Just updated[/QUOTE] I guess that depends on where in Hendersonville you live because New Shackle Island looks just like Madison I can't even tell the difference its a shame the bigger it grows the more people move here and guess where from Madison therefore I stand by my original statement.

Wow so just bc you're struggling
You're selling drugs or living a thug so called life?! Get real. I'm a single mom trying to raise a child in a great town with good schools and I need help. Feel free to just send money to us "poor" people if you have so much. People like you who need a reality check. Get over yourself.

I'm looking into section 8 so anyone with any info I would greatly appreciate it.

Please do all you can to stop this from happening. Hendersonville is a great place and we do not need to ruin it. Thanks

You people disgust me.. All you have done is shame and blame people for not having tons of money to live in high income areas!! All you people who are judging should get on your knees and ask god for forgiveness cause you people are some of the worst ones!! I myself am not low income but I have been down on my luck!! You people should try helping people instead of hurting them!! As far as drugs and crime tell the police chief to do his freakin job!!!! And yes I live in hville.....

Yeah problem is the chief only rides his little Motorcycle! How about hire officers who wanna get the drugs and crime. Maybe less over paid supervisors would help!
NO MORE SECTION 8

Hendersonville, TN

#43 Jul 14, 2013
Please go to the town meetings and push to get section 8 housing out of Hendersonville. The reason crime rates have gone up is because we have several complexes who offer low income housing, which bring all the white trash, drug dealers and people who will never work. These people just want hand outs and most are thieving crack heads. Please write the mayor and city leaders to see that we do not get anymore section 8 residents. Thank You

I think you need to look around you. Have you been to the grocery store or other stores lately? More and more there is a bunch of trash in them, that whip out their government issued EBT card to pay for their groceries. I think we need to close the gates and send them back to Madison or Nashville. Hendersonville, doesn't need this riff raff. All they do is raise the crime rate by stealing from people who do work hard for what they have.
