I feel good teachers should be paid well. I feel good people equally should pay equally concerning health insurance.
I strongly feel that teachers, nor anyone have the right to interfere with so many lives to get what they want. Sad that Pa. is ahead of the pack.

Becoming a teacher is a choice...to teach the childern that will be the adults of tomorrow....Being a teacher is a perfect job...who else gets their summers off, holidays with longer vactions then most of us, doesn't have to travel on bad roads......ONLY WORKS 180 DAYS ALL YEAR and NOW wants WHAT?????????? Oh yea don't forget they can NOT be fired for they get tenior. What a shame to do this to the childern. I have an idea...FIRE THEM ALL...HIRE THE TEACHERS WHO WANT TO WORK....STOP TENIOR...my husband is NOT promised his job and WE PAY FOR OUR INSURANCE...WHY DO YOU THINK, AS TEACHERS YOU DESERVE THIS ALL TO BE PAID FOR BY THE TAX PAYERS...WE ALREADY PAY YOUR SALARY?????????? I also worked in a school and YOU get paid to much...for sitting around, visiting with other teachers and SOME of you NOT doing a real good job.

If becoming is such a "perfect job" why didn't you go to school to become one? Maybe because not everyone has the ability to do the job. By the way it is tenure not tenior and when you refer to getting paid "to much" it should be "too much." Maybe you should have paid more attention in school. Also -- do you own a home? So many of those complaining about their taxes think their cigarette taxes or income tax is what pays the teacher's wage.

You don't have to be nasty. I own a home and my husband and I pay $12,000 a year for health insurance. As far as the misspellings go, well maybe a teacher didn't do their job but did get holiday's, summers and snow days off. I wouldn't want to be a teacher but teachers did choose their jobs and some of the teachers I have had were awful but still got paid because the union was behind them. If I didn't perform well in my job I would be fired.

I worked for a local school district and leave me tell you ...I beg and plead with any caring parent out there to go to school for a day with your child...GO SEE what is going on.You pay taxes this is your right and you can NOT be stopped from doing so...as a tax payer WE own the school our childern attend. If your child is always getting in trouble at school...IS IT your child causing trouble OR do they just have your child labled as trouble so, if they sneeze they get wrote up....YES if the student is labled their life will be unpleasent until they quit or finally graduate. I saw this EVERYDAY...SAME child everyday in the office for nonsense. This school had 13 drop-outs most from the same year class ,in one year.BUT I can tell you a more scary story yet. A teacher went to the guidance office in October 2004 and told them she belived a student was in trouble. BY LAW THEY ARE REQUIRED to report this so it can be investigated...they did nothing. I then went to the principal and asst. principal....before that the school nurse. They did NOTHING. This child was 13. I finally went to the family member that I knew of....He went to his sister and she finally amitted that her step-dad was raping her, since she was 6. Yes ,she was pregant and her mom claimed she never knew. All the childern were removed from the home, this girl had her baby 3 weeks later and placed it for adoption. Her little brother was also adopted...she is in a great foster home, doing wonderful. Her mom did 24 months on child endangerment....and the SICKO... he got 8 to 15 then another 15 in federal prison for taking her in his truck over state lines. ME?? I QUIT...I was told by a teacher I could NOT save all these kids...I helped one and YES I would and will help who I can.Oh yea and by the way I do own my home...If you own or not...we all pay school taxes. AND I do NOT smoke. I do know that my husband gets up everyday and goes to work, makes more then you and we pay for our insurance...he works harder and would give his shirt off his back to any child...would you?????????? His job is NOT guranteed. You teach...you should care about these kids also...NOT just an easy job with easy money. Rember I worked in a school...I saw what others would not belive.
