I am opposed to this bill. As tragic as Kelsey's murder was, this is just a knee jerk reaction and that is never a good reason to draft legislation. This law would cause all of us to give up our privacy rights. Judges are available 24/7 to issue warrants. The police should need a warrant to get cell phone records.

Joco Lib, I'm called a conservative by some, a moderate by some and an idiot by many, so I'm not sure what I am, but I have to agree. It doesn't take that long to get a warrant. That's just the sort of law that can by grossly overused and abused by over-zealous attorneys general. I can't quote him but Ben Franklin said somethig like, anyone who gives up his freedom for safety deserves neither.

Since the parents were so quick to say Kelsey was missing I think they must have had some reason to fear for her life. I do think people with great concern about abduction should sign up for a tracking service. Edwin Hall who abducted and killed Kelsey worked for a temp agency whose owner was involved in a copyright controversy. I believe Kelsey had relatives in publishing of music. Feud killing?

Daily Horoscope for January 4

Taurus

If your goals are fairly modest in the short term, they are achievable and you're likely to get some praise for achievements along the way. If you aim too high too quickly, others might not take you seriously or think you're being uppity and you could come unstuck. It's all a question of attitude and approach. There are contradictory influences over the next ten days but there could also be good luck coming your way.
