Below is the link to an article regarding illegal aliens in Kansas, before one starts screaming racist, consider the consequences to KS Americans. Not only do they take our jobs, they also take our housing leaving nothing for the lower income & middle class who need affordable, decent rental housing.

I remember a day when lunching in Olathe you would see many natural American construction workers, now you see all Hispanic construction workers(many non-english speaking)doing the jobs Kansans won't do??

If we do NOT force our KS officials to support mandatory E-Verify & ending birthright citizenship, the situation will only continue to grow, manifesting ill feelings toward immigrants coming to our communities as we do not know who is legal and who isn't.

In the not to distant future, Jo Co will be a county of those who can afford to purchase their homes AND illegal aliens!

While in principal, I don't disagree with eVerify, I would definitely question your motives.

Carrie I would say you're way way way too far to be even able to see the middle...

Nice comeback! Break out the Big Chief tablet and crayons next time. Give yourself a couple minutes to think it through...

Try and answer the questions below:

1) What proof (and sources) do you have to indicate that there is a shortage of housing for lower and middle income folks in Olathe?

2) What empirical evidence do you have that the Illegal immigrant population in Olathe is impacting the labor market and preventing others from gainful employment?

Again I'm not disagreeing with you in principal, I just want some black and white evidence of what you're basing your viewpoints on.

Additionally, I'd ask you to clarify that why you as a card carrying member of the 'tea party' want to change the Constitution? I simply ask as one of the core philosophies of the 'tea party' is to get back to pure Constitutional rights?

IF YOU WANT A JOB GET OFF YOUR AZZ AND GET ONE. NO ILLEGAL HAS TAKEN IT YOUR POLITICIANS HAVE SENT THEM AWAY. AND IF AN AMERICAN DON'T WANT TO WORK HARD FOR THEIR MONEY I WILL GIVE IT TO ANY HARD WORKING ILLEGAL ANY DAY. THERE ARE GOOD AND BAD IN ALL CULTURES, AND THEN THERE ARE THE PRODOMENTLY LAZY ONES (AMERICANS)

C'mon Carrie, I'm giving you the opportunity to prove that you're more thank a talking head. To be someone your son could be proud of! Care to answer?

Before you all act so righteous, maybe you should do some research. I've done plenty the last couple of years AS well following the political goings on.

I've always been a person of principle, anyone who knows me will tell you that. I also know when one only has a morsel of food to offer, you give it to your family, not an outsider.

Maybe follow whats going on right under your nose!

Myself and others I've spoken with have experienced the inability to find housing, have you been out there?
I work a major retailer here in towm, it's appalling how many non-english speaking people buy their groceries with WIC & Food stamps, yet I know english speaking low income Olatheans don't quite qualify. These illegals eat better than most people I know, using tax payer dollars!

I've done my research, you do your own research as you wouldn't believe mine anyway! I never thought i'd see the day when Jo Co was 3rd on the list for highest amount living in poverty!

Sorry you lack the intelligence to do your own research, here's a small snipit!
The report cites a growing shortage of affordable rental housing and a simultaneous decrease in income as being primarily responsible for the rise in homelessness over the past 30 years, and endorses a policy best summed up as Housing First.
The plan is the result of months of research and collaboration. The Kansas City, Mo., City Council created the task force two years ago. It was later broadened to include membership from Clay, Jackson and Platte counties in Missouri, and Johnson and Wyandotte counties in Kansas...Homeward Bound: Greater Kansas City Housing Sustainability Plan asserts that homelessness in Kansas City is preventable, solvable and unacceptable. I take it you failed basic logic. Surely the bubble in housing prices, resulting housing market crash, and uptick in demand for rental properties aren't related right? Maybe the recession with a 3% rise in unemployment might have something to do with that as well?

I don't think you'll find many people who are on the side of the illegals, including the original person(s)? who questioned your post, but I'll call a spade a spade here and agree that you're just an uneducated, foaming at the mouth bigot who doesn't have a freaking clue, but is mad at the world because she didn't work hard enough to educate herself and become something more than an entry level employee working for the man. The man who sells cheap Chinese imports at a discount.

Personally it sounds like you have more in common with the Occupy protesters than the tea-party.

Factually I have always been a top performer and valued employee! It appears to me the lazy ones are the illegal immigrants as they do not want to put the effort into following our laws like so many legal immigrants have done.

I have NO affiliation with the Occupiers or Tea Parties, that being said..

You do NOT live in Olathe and obviously have not battled the issue as I and many have. I am well aware of our housing market issues, now lets throw in the thousands of illegal aliens.

I'm actually a quite intelligent professional, quite successful on the job AND well educated which is why I am trying to educate idiots such as yourself on the real issues with illegal immigration.

You do NOT have a clue as to who I am or who I am bigoted against, you assume! I have Hispanic friends who worked hard to achieve their citizenship and feel as I do.

Well educated huh? That's why you couldn't answer any of my questions? How exactly have you 'battled' the issue? You're aware of our housing market? How so, explain to me the microeconomics of the housing demand in the southern Johnson County area.

and you are entitled to these because why? you were born here? and that makes you what better than? you didn't do anything to deserve it. so you are a top performer and a valued employee and that makes you what? a person with a job? follow what laws? is there one law more important then another? a law is a law right, just like sin, a sin is a sin. so you are telling me that you never, i mean NEVER, break the law? if you tell me no you never, you are a liar. you deserve nothing! get out and make it for yourself, quit feeling entitled. quit catergorizing groups of people. cause what i feel about the american people as a whole isn't a very good group of people to be in. they are lazy, the feel they are entitled, hypocrites, wanting to sue anyone and everyone, want to collect disablility. to watch the people i work with get out of there cars in high heels parking in the handicap stalls with a sticker of course and normally with those stickers comes a check, for them and their kids. stop living above your means.

One life saving pill, who do you give; your child or your neighbors?

Think about the dollar amounts going to illegals kids when it could be going to educate, feed, house & provide proper medical care for our own kids. I've heard so many times how it's not the fault of the illegal immigrant kids they are here, so why are we making it our kids fault? Education cuts when illegal immigrants get instate tuition in Kansas?

Brownback as well as all our elected officials have outsourced their humanity to children of other countries, those that should not be here. Until he sees this, no amount of cuts will aide Kansas as our illegal immigration population continues to grow.

Neglecting our own children to care for our neighbors is appalling, Americans must decide, Americans or Neighbors as we can't have both!
