Why go to etown? Why not call to find out if they carry the expensive bourbon, before you drive all that way? The audio portion will tell the truth. It's not a coincidence numerous bottles of pappy was stolen a few weeks ago. There has to be more involved.

Somebody needs to be the first to make a deal. He won't go down alone, you better get that deal before he does.

Well, perhaps this person is stating the obvious! His actions do coincided with the fact he has some involvement in this matter. The liquor store clerk would not make up a story about a man waiting until another customer left and inquiring about the possibility of the store purchasing a large amount of rare bourbon. Why does it matter if people speculate, since all the media outlets are doing the same in recent days?

More importantly, it looks rather suspect for all the entries to consistently disappear regarding this case overall. Who is behind making these discussions disappear? It is going to be a very interesting outcome involving more than one person I suspect.

I cannot understand why he would make such a move, but one of the media outlets reported he was in Elizabethtown for a sporting event and yet it was on a Sunday. It really makes no sense unless he just simply thought the liquor store he stopped at was a small out of the way establishment where he could get away with it overall. The liquor store manager is the man he spoke with and apparently asked if they would be interested in buying a large amount of Pappy Van Winkle, and it does not look good as far as timing goes with the recent heist of bourbon from Buffalo Trace..........just speculating really!

Oh, he coaches the soccer team? Do many liquor stores stay open on Sundays? Did E-town have a wet/ dry vote not to long ago?

He's not innocent. Why would the liquor store employee make up that story?

What happened to the prior forum stating some other bourbon heist?

Do a single one of you know how to click on a news story? The one in this title?
Whoever said he was at a soccer game is a bold faced liar.
Read:
"He (Attorney Doug Hubbard) told the newspaper that Pickett was out all of this all week in Hilton Head, South Carolina and learned by phone he was the "person of interest" in this case".
You all have one person on here who's already tried to start around five strings to hang this man out to dry. Gay Cowboy In Report is doing it. Now he's in here too and changing his name quicker than his Fruit of the Looms.
Keep your eyes open and listen to the news instead of believing everything you read on Topix. Specially when it comes to the Gay Cowboy in here and his scams to make people believe things that haven't been said.

Are we reading different articles? In all the articles I have seen posted in the past few days, his attorney admits it was him in the video. Therefore, it would be reasonable to believe he left either Sunday night after the liquor store visit or on Monday morning for his trip to Hilton Head.

He goes in detail to explain his client, Chris Pickett, became aware of the video in Hilton Head on Wednesday that he was a "person of interest" and promptly called Mr. Hubbard to represent him as his attorney. Maybe the articles you have read stated things differently, but USA Today, Louisville television stations, Lexington television stations, and other media outlets (tv, newspaper, etc.) all across the state and nation are reporting on this because of the rarity of the bourbon that was taken from Buffalo Trace.

As far as the Gay Cowboy, none of us posting today have seen anyone using that name so please enlighten on who you are making reference to on this site. Maybe you could help the rest of us understand exactly what you mean by your entry!

Why would an innocent person run right to a attorney and give them money to represent them after seeing himself on the news as being a person of interest, if it was me and I was innocent I would just have called the cops looking into it and told my story as to why I was there. GUILTY...

Lemme just say for the record that if I am EVER a person of interest for ANYTHING, the very FIRST thing ill do is hire an attorney.
