To the person who was driving the truck that hit this child: Please do the right thing and turn yourself in. You know the demons are not going to let you rest untill you come forward.

My heart goes out to the family of this little girl, I hope you can find some kind of peace in knowing this child is singing with the angels in heaven.

I'm so sorry to this family. What a nightmare. I'm sure the driver didn't set out to hit her. Please come forward and give the family peace.

Parents - I know 9 years old seems old enough for a kid to do a lot of things on their own, but they still require supervision when it comes to riding their bikes on the street.

Kids don't always look where they are going or pay attention to what is going on around them. They need YOUR guidance.

The pickup drive should have stopped, it's too bad he didn't because until he left no crime had been committed.

I am sorry for them all - it's a hard burden to live with.

My prayers are with the family. May you find comfort in one another, your community, and in the grace of God. My heart is filled with sorrow for the loved ones left behind, but filled with joy for the new life Piper has already started. May God be with your family.

What good will finding the driver do? It won't bring her back. You think his/her life isn't already ruined over knowing he killed this girl? You people just want vengeance, and that's wrong.
I don't think it is about vengeance, it is about answers... The family of Piper deserves to know the WHOLE truth of what happened to her. If the driver felt as bad as you want to believe; they could have found a pay phone and called 911 anonymously, to report an "injured child lying on the roadside". I tend to think, the driver was trying to save their own a$$ instead of trying to save the child.

To those of you saying that "WE" only want "Vengance", it might as well have been your child, grandchild, daughter or son. HOW DARE you say we're only wanting that. WE Want JUSTICE for this girl and her family. Any NORMAL human being goes out of their way to avoid hitting an animal let alone a child. If this person was so concerned about human life then why didn't he/she stop to help? It could of been just an accident but now ITS MURDER!!! So i have no pitty for whom ever did this. They deserve EVERYTHING that is coming to him/her.

What is wrong Mr.Simms is that the driver didnt stop or turn hisself/herself in already. NO and i dont think that his/her life is over just knowing what they did. This could have been just an accident now its murder.. They still get up every morning and go about the day. While this little girl now lays in the cold ground and her family is left with a big hole!! Now, you tell me whats right and whats wrong!!!

Unless you have lost a child, you REALLY do not have any conception of the emotional roller coaster ride ahead of these folks. My advice to the family is to accept that god has called back one of HIS angels...if you don't, you will have an even more difficult road ahead.

I agree with you whole heartedly. I've been there, I've lost a child. God will keep her close.
