I have fostered a puppy mill dog, it is an ugly industry. Petfinder has thousands of purebred animals, including puppies, looking for a home. Please ADOPT-DONT SHOP.

These rescued dogs are sweeter, more appreciative, and very loving compared to the average dog. They have a story to tell and have alot of character. Unless you want a dog for showing in competition, buying from a breeder is out-dated and slows progress in the anti-animal cruelty movement that so many of us are working at.

If you're unsure about adopting a rescue, get with a rescue group and foster one for a couple weeks. You'll be in love in no time.

<quoted text>Huh? People like you don't deserve a pet. Only thinking of yourself, eh?! Yeah, what must people think of you for adopting an abused, neglected, unloved, pet from an animal shelter. Sounds like you may be one of those PUPPY MILL breeders, which are about 95% of breeders. If they want to sell you a pet, make sure you can go on their property. Even then you can't be sure, because they keep the neglected, sick, dying ones that have never been out of their cages in the back of the property so no one can see them. Those people couldn't care less about the animals, only the money. If you've never seen or heard of puppy mills do some research. If you're an animal lover it will break your heart to see how these heartless, BEASTS, treat these poor animals. I adopted a Pom and he's adorable.
Despite your rhetoric there are decent breeders, my daughter is delighted with her savannah cat we purchased.
