I'm not being tacky but if he's big enough to commit a crime, he's big enough to stay in a cell by himself.

And the current administration who is unable to run this jail, wants to be in charge of 300 million of our dollars to continue being unqualified. I think not. DONT FORGET TO VOTE!

It's sad that it is so tough out here for our young males that life has to resort and end like this. What are our leaders not doint?

I understand that everyone thinks that criminals are the scumb of the earth, however we are just a blessing away from being where someone else is. We have all done something that is not umm correct, This young man yes committed a crime that yes he could have done time for but he took his life thats sad when you feel your life has no value. He has a family a mother and siblings so to act as if he was nothing is a shame for you. He will be held accountable for the things he did in his life just as you will. Don't judge!!! Prayers go out to this family!

No, we are not. I work for what I have that's why I don't steal from other people. Perhaps if he just worked like everyone else he would still be here.I'm tired of people like you making excuses for these people. It only enables them to rob YOU one day.

I feel that all of the comments above mine hold some truth EXCEPT FOR THE NOBODY WHO CALLS HIMSELF NORMAN NOBODY. But personally I know that the M.W.C. Police dept. as well as the ok co jail have little to no value for young african american men and womens lives ( especially the men). Its true that this young brother is responsible for his own actions., But My question is when will social officials start to make an attempt to provide avenues for young men and women like Mr. Potts (R.I.P.),to have more constructive and positive things to do? I believe when those "MORE POSITIVE"
avenues will provide a mind set for young men and women in urban enviornments,to make better decisions. I pray for this mans family and I ask God to bring them some kind of peace I am sorry for their loss.

A person cannot wait on the social officials to do anything for us(lest we become a socialist country). Each and every individual has to open their own doors to make things happen. WE in this country are free to choose our own direction in life, some make the right decisions, others don't.

It's not that one should sit and wait for doors to be open for them, that determines when a person should begin to apply thier own ideas or begin to search for a descent living to achieve and maintain a good life and/or lifestyle. But when a society is full of social LEADERS that are only concerned about themselves then we are only being lead by a bunch of walking contradictions.I think those type of jobs require that one be focused on society or the comminity as a whole rather than "self" .That is the mind set of x president George Bush, and we all see what that type of mind set has achieved. NOTHING BUT HARD TIMES.

I agree with you the majority of our social (political) leaders are corrupt & do not have our best interests in mind, but I also believe the moral breakdown of the families over the last 30yrs is more to blame than they are, & I admit I'm guilty of allowing that to happen in my own family.

As for President Bush, he had no more business than I do of being our president, although I believe he had the toughest decisions that any president has had to make in the last 40-50yrs. Also, lets not forget that the leaders before him made the decisions which allowed the greed that caused the mess we're in, his people just failed to correct the problem.

Now I am off topic & wish the family of this young man peace & goodwill in their time of sorrow. May he rest in peace.

no whity is not holding me down as a matter of fact your entire system couldnt hold me down any ways Iam not the topic niether is whity blackie or folks like yourself all I wanted to do is show my support for a memberr of my community (since our so called social officials cant seem to do even that). With that being said , May He rest in peace ,and may you some day find empathy.
