I'm a close friend to amber larkins and former co-worker to Daniel Larkins. I was scared and worry what I saw today about my two friends, but I hope that both of them make a full recovery. It was very scary to see that flame for friends that I havn't seem in 5 years. I'll pray for them.

This is my family; I am Bill's daughter-in-law. I'm sick to death that KFOR is playing Amber's 911 call without family permission.

We are all praying for speedy recovering for both Amber and Daniel, as well as Kelly.

Also, Amber is 22, not 18 and the two year old's name is Sabrie, not Savry.

This is such a sad story, my heart goes out to this family, there's been too many fire related deaths this year and some might of been prevented with smoke detectors, please if you know someone that doesn't have working smoke detectors ,have them or yourself contact the fire dept and most of the time they can tell you where to get them and in somecases they are free.I will pray for all and hope for a full recovery for the survivors

I'm sorry about those that were injured, but I have read nothing about these poor children who lost their lives. What about a fund for the funerals of these children? Has anyone set up one of those to help the mother of Michael or the grandparents of Sabrie to bury them?

How is it that 4 adults escaped, but they couldn't stop for two small children? That is puzzling to me.

There were 3 adults who escaped and one was pregnant and tried to get them out. There has been a fubd set up @ Bank of America "Larkin Memorial Trust Fund" to assist the family with funeral expenses.
Please people, donate, even if its a dollar....each penny adds up for the family.

We won't be completely sure of what happened until Daniel, Amber and Kelly are able to tell us. Right now they are being kept sedated due to their injuries. Daniel and Kelly did not "escape" ... they were pulled from the home by firefighters and were not breathing. Amber was near the fire and we believe she could not get out of her room and that is why she went through the window to get help.

Let me ask you this, would you want to know that your niece/nephew or children had been screaming for help before they died? We didn't know until the 911 tape was released and it wasn't at all pleasant to find out ... it was horrific for all of us. If what you say is true, then that needs to be changed. I'm sure you wouldn't want it to happen to you.

AND BY THE WAY ... Just because it's public record, doesn't mean KFOR has to blast it all over the tv. It's called respect for the dead, and KFOR doesn't have it and neither do you apparently.

Update: Amber and Kelly Larkins are now awake and doing much better. Amber is out of the ICU. Daniel, however, is still unconscious and in ICU.

Please remember to donate to the Larkins Memorial Fund at any Bank of America location.

Thank you for reminding people about the trust fund. There are also money bins around Norman at several locations if it is easier for you to leave change. Please people, do not insult those who were in this fire. They would have never harmed those children intentionally. Prayer is the strongest remedy.

Naomi - someone at my Aunt's church tried to donate to the fund and Bank of America turned them away saying they didn't know anything about it. CJ is the one who told me about it. Do you know if it's been closed?
