If this would of been you or I we would of been fined for destruction of public property.I think I'll hang on to this story just in case I or anyone else wants to go and paint something on this state bridge! It just goes to show ya that there are certain laws for certain people. Election time must be closing in!

Tazz don't be a mullet. These are our kids following a very long tradition that has proven its self over many years not to have hurt, or offend anyone. Be happy that these kids are putting this kind of commitment and effort into something positive and not negative. Those kids bust there ass on that field to keep the fans that are attending and watching the game entertained. We need to be thanking them and offering to hold there can of paint, flashlight, or be on lookout for the sheriffs office. My son would kill me if he read this since he attends OSU (go pokes!) So folks with the negative comments, worry about the bad things in this world and not crucifying our good kids.

Yeah, we need to be arresting pot smokers by the thousands( oh wait, we already do). Where do this pot smoker get off smoking/ingesting an herb God created? Let the rapist, child molesters, and murders go free. Arrest pot smokers now!

The law is the law, but OU- Texas Weekend is Tradition, the bridge should be re named Sooner Passage.

Maybe the state should look into a coating that will allow for the surface to be easily cleaned since this has been going on for years. It's not like it's done in malice. And for sure this isn't going to stop. However knowing the extremes this state can go to I can see a roll of razoe wire strung across it by next year.

I say we should hang them from the bridge as a public warning not to be putting graffiti on tax payers property.

After all... Hanging criminals was a tradition for a lot of years.

The Rufneks are a fraternity of sorts that promises to "butch up" young, less than masculine men. And they do a fairly good job of it with their cigar smokers, drinking and porn parties and overweight "little sister" pimping program. And they learn how to handle a "big gun" safely in public. I say let them have their fun defacing a small portion of a bridge.

Now if anyone driving someone driving down the road is distracted by it and crashes his car or her car into the abutment then I guess they should not charge these "kids" with anything. After all we don't' have a problem with distracted driving of any kind in this state do we.? The law should be the law for everyone.

If the town had a problem with the bridge being painted they could have gone to OU and said something about it. Everyone in that town knows about that overpass and knows the RUF/NEKS paint that every year. Instead they wait to catch them red-handed. And after DECADES of this tradition going on, why do they all of a sudden have an issue with it? McClain law enforcment needs better things to do with their time, evediently. Totally overblown!! Totally ridiculous!!
